Happy Scrabs and Muds.

I've always wanted to know this so here it goes. The Mudanchee tribe worship scrabs right so why do Scrabs keep attacking Abe and the other Muds? It's confusing. Is it because the Scrabs have had enough of guarding bones?

The Mudanchee tribe is dead, so the Scrabs protect their spirits and bones by trying to kill Abe.

They may have worshipped scrabs, but a scrab is a scrab is a scrab. What do you expect? Scrabs eat mudokons, it's what they've always done, it's what they always will do. You might as well expect pox-worshipping humans to be spared by the plague.
