28 Weeks Later

I thought about posting this in I have Just Seen, but since the Spider-man 3 thread has yet to be closed, I decided that perhaps it'd be okay to make a 28 thread, too. It just came out Friday, so I think it's relevant to make it on the day it came out.

Anyways, I just saw the trailer for it (here) and it looks incredible. Since I live in a small town in Idaho, it probably won't show up for awhile, but it's definitely on my Movies To See list, right next to Hot Fuzz.

The only complaint I have is that usually when you big-budget a rather underground movie like the first one was, it turns out lame. Hopefully this won't happen, and it'll end up great.

Anyone else seen it or plan to?

I gotta say, though, please warn if you're about to post spoilers so I can cover my eyes.

I bet OANST will probably post the end, just to spite me, though.

I've heard nothing but good things about this movie. The only thing stopping me are: I have yet to see the first and its rated R. I hope to see the first soon.

Well, I just Tivoed it the other day and watched it. I became an instant fan because of the unique take on the Zombie genre.

Well, the nutters on it were not Zombies, Just rage-filled canabalistic crazies. I think that was a good way to go, as these nutters are fast and smart (kinda) so thats a good change...I totally wanna see that movie...(seen 28 Days Later)

I own 28 Days Later on video. It's very good. I hope to see 28 Weeks Later very soon.

Also, Skillyaslig, Mitsur meant that it takes on the Zombie genre, not that it contains Zombies.

Hi, guys!

This is your local zombie expert speaking, and all I have to say about 28 Weeks Later is this:

All in all, the plot wasn't as good as the first, however, the way it was delivered was phenomenal!

THIS MOVIE WAS AN ABSOLUTE MIND****!!!

The Immense scale & intensity of the plot is absolutely insane!!!

You know how many infected you see in 28 Days Later? Multiply that by 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, and that's how many infected are in this one!

This movie rocked. The subway scene near the end was scary as crap. And I don't get scared in Horror Movies very much. I can't wait until 28 Months Later.

That's supposed to be a lame one. It has the one where the crazies attack the people, then it says '28 seconds later', and its just the bodies on the ground.

Oh, I won't bother seeing that. I suppose that means that 28 Minutes Later won't be any good. Thank you for your advice.

I think Infection Form has the scale all confused. In Weeks, the tiny, modern Isle of Dogs is the only inhabited part of Britain, and even that has not reached anything like its pre-outbreak population, even with the NATO forces. Those are the only people who can be infected. However, Days features devastation on a national scale. Now, I'm no Pierre de Fermat, but by my calculations...

Well, from the looks of the trailer, it looks like one careless human got herself infected again, somehow bypassed the security in place enough to infect soldiers, which in turn attacked other people, resulting in a chain that re-infected the new population re-inhabiting England.

But, when Scarlet asks the little boy his age, she replies to his age by saying, "Well then, I think that makes you the youngest person in the country,"

I'm not sure about this, but it could inply the rest of the country is also being re-populated, since they'd need much more human records to say 'country' if they're only populating an island.

Of course, they could be dis-regarding logic like that, but oh well.

My advice, Daxter King, is to take a parent and tell the MPAA to fornicate with an iron pole, on that account.

[spoilermaybe]I saw the movie last week and thought it was pretty good. I couldn't watch one part where a ragie sticks that woman's eyeballs into her skull, so I have no idea what that looked like. I don't do too good with scary movies, but this one wasn't too scary. It had a few jumpy parts and gorgy parts, but not as many as I thought there'd be. What I loved most about the movie is that all the characters you think will survive end up dieing right then and there. It was just so unpredictable![/spoilermaybe]

Yeah, pretty sweet movie. Well stylised.
