Woah! I have no idea what that thing is. But look at the symbol on it's head. It looks an aweful lot like the Slig barracks logo.

That's an old Meetle concept sketch for Munch's Oddysee. Personally I favour the beetle-like meetles and mugs from Hand of Odd and some of the MO compositions.

The image does say ‘MEETLE’ on it, which is a big clue. The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants confirms that it is a Meetle design. Obviously, there have been pictures of Meetles and Mugs since that show that they were turned from a race of bikers to beasts of burdon.

It was a short film consisting of FMVs taken from Abe’s Exoddus, and joined together with new material of a Mudokon news reporter describing the events of the game. It was made and shown in an L.A. theatre so that it qualified for Oscar nomination.

It didn’t win the Oscar, but it was the first video game to be nominated. Huzzah.

Please don't triple post. The themes can be found on the Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus discs for the PC. But if you ask someone nicely, they'll upload it for you.

Question

I am back after a long time and I have a question. Is there any way to see the AE short film or is it gone from history?

It does exist on VHS cassettes, although just how many of them there are, I don’t know. I have one; Xavier has another. If we can find the means and time to convert them to a digital video and put them online, we will.

My video player is dead, yet I still have some great videos I really want to watch again D: Everyone else in our family has working ones.

Apparently there was a video, a few minutes long, with Irwin and Humphrey in that was entered for...something...but anyway, I can't seem to find this video anywhere, not even the Oddworld Library. Also, does the video with the Sea Rex in exist anywhere either, cause I can't find it.

Dude! Three and a half hours is not long enough to expect a reply. Perhaps if a couple of days had gone by and your question hadn't been answered, it would then be understandable if you reminded us about it.

The short answer is: the video is not available anywhere. You'll just have to sit tight and wait for it to be available on TOA.

That's an awesome picture. Only... since when did flamers have a robotic leg?

Why is the "Captured by Outlaws" video on TOL cut in half, since the second part doesn't seem to be there anywhere? Also, can anyone tell me (PM if necassary) what the 'special/extra' ending for Stranger is (when you get at least 20,000 Moolah), presuming there is one?

The ‘Captured by Outlaws’ video is only half of its proper length because that’s how it is. That’s how we got it, so that’s all we can offer… at the moment. There is no alternative ending to Stranger’s Wrath.

You were given those vids? By who? Nah, nevermind.
If there is no alternative ending to Stranger's Wrath, how come I've seen so many forum members posting about what does happen when you get the required Moolah?

It’s a commonly asked question. That’s why it is answered in TOL’s unofficial F.A.Q. It makes sense that there should be multiple endings. Every previous Oddworld game did, and there’s even an equivalent to rescuing Mudokons in Stranger’s Wrath&mash;collecting Moolah. It stands to reason, then, that there would be different outcomes depending on whether or not you had the 20 000 Moolah by the time you get to Doc’s Mongo Retreat.

But the story is quite clear. D. Caste Raider reached Doc long before Stranger could, whether he had the Moolah or not, so it couldn’t possibly make the blindest bit of difference.

Actually we don't get videos from people we search for them on the net by ourself. There is no secret underground stuff going on.

It's the conspiracy theorist's secret weapon. If you deny it, you're lying, it must be true. If you admit it, truthfully or not, it's a confession.

That's the Chronicler, a race of lawyers and accountants and probably bureaucrats who were cut from MO. Their staff is an abacus, see? Beats me how the beads stay in position at that angle.

It seems that as a race they are considered semi-canon, like the meetles, and tend to pop up in fanfics and RPGs.
