The thick gits haven't already claimed it? By God, they're stupid. I want it so I can convert it into pounds. I wouldn't mind, but it's not every day you win the lottery, is it? Wish it was, though.

Well if he doesn't pick it up at least it will be put to good use, which is a much better way of spending money then randomly giving it away IMO...

Probably the person doesn't even know. If they did and they had lost the ticket, they would have at least tried to cash in to a small degree by selling their sob story to the TV networks.

A sob story is one that is supposed to wrench your heart, like a kid with terminal cancer. No one's going to feel sorry for the guy who won the lottery but doesn't get it, because they haven't own the lottery at all.

Perhaps the TV networks have different tastes in the UK but here they'd love that story. It has such a wonderful combination of both tragedy and stupidity.

Wow, that sucks. However, it's not complete stupidity, but it is pretty bad that a person either lost their ticket or didn't pay attention to the announcement of the winning numbers.
