Trouble Picking Up Grenades

I'm playing Abe's Exoddus for the PC, and I'm having trouble picking up grenades. Twice now, a grenade has plopped down near a ledge and when I go to pick it up, Abe will hang off the ledge instead of picking up the grenade. In the first game, you could crouch next to the grenade, roll over to it and press X, but Abe farts in Exoddus when you press X... so that hasn't worked for me. Any suggestions?

Erm... I don't know really... I'll install the game right away and start to play it for the third time...

I believe you press 'ctrl' next to the grenade to pick it up.

Doh.. I was trying to pick it up while standing over the grenade. Thanks Jordan Boi.
