Yes, I really gonna leave for a while. I don't know how long it will take until I'll be back again.
Yesterday, it happened pretty much. It's a long, tragic story which you wouldn't believe.
...but I tell it anyway:
I wanted to ask my dad about my grandfather (my father's father) which I never really met before because he died when I was three years old.
The only thing I knew was that he has suicided...
So yesterday my father told me the whole story:
After my grandfather's wife died by cancer, he married another woman which he thought, was very nice and lovely. But really, she only married him because of the money. So my grandfather got depressed and nobody could notice it in time because he rarely showed his feelings.
Well, after almost five years, there was one day when he went out to "take a walk".
Then after one day, he still didn't come back, so the family posted as missing. The police, family and friends went out to find him, but after on more day, they didn't find him.
Suddenly, there was a report (I try to translate it):
Mysterious Death at Stanserhorn (that's a mountain)
Hunters found a half corpse
A macabre find while a hunt: At the south side of the Stanserhorn, a hound rooted out a decayed lower part of a man's body, monday, in the afternoon.
The scared hunters broke off their hunt and told the police about their find. The next, immediate looking for the missing upper part of the body with the aid of the hounds was unsuccessful.
The authorities were completely mystified. It's not clear if it was an accient, a crime or a suicide. In those parts, nobody is missed too. The only sure thing is: The half corpse, which wore pants and hiking boots, had to lie in that forest for months.
One day after, there was the final report:
Suicide with explosives
The mystery about the unhalved corpse is unraveled: It's was suicide- A 61 years old man blew himself up!
Only while the second looking for the missing upper body, the experts of the
scientifical analysis service found an indication of an unusual suicide. Seven meters away from the habitat, they spoted a small part of the upper body in the trees. Now it was clear: It was an explosives-suicide.
The father, weary of life, from Solothurn was missed since September the 18th (1992) and blew himself up in the pathless place. The identification was well because of the military shoes which showed his personal number.
The sort of the explosives are still unkown.
That's true, my father still keep those two reports!
You know, my whole world was chancing while I listened to my father.
I never really had a good relationship to my father. He often did beat me and laid into me. He never consoled me or something else.
But now I think, I understand why.
It had to be quite hard to identify somebody's feet as your father's feet...
So I don't have a problem with you, guys! You're nice but I need to find myself now. That's why I'm leaving.
I guess nobody will be missing me.
