Team USA had come off of a 6th place finish in the tournament and a bronze in the Olypmics. That is mind boggling. The NBA has the best athletes in basketball, and certainly the most expensive, picked from all across the world and they've gotten embarrassed, not just beaten, but embarrassed by teams like Lithuania and Greece. Its absolutely shocking. This was USA's tournament. Best college coach, stacked roster, and a bunch of confidence building romps. Sure, Team USA had weaknesses, they couldn't stop the big guys, would fold if the pressure defense didn't work, and didn't shoot 3 pointers nearly as well as their opponents. But with people on the team like Miller, Wade, Anthony, James I thought they were a lock to win it all. I'd watched the games with my little brother Luke so I was emotionally invested. Yeah, even the 6:30 AM Slovenia game . I had to drop some books at the library and get my college schedule so I didn't see the beginning of the game. I come home to see how much Team Bald Eagles, Mamma, and Apple Pie is winning by and I hear "They lost".

Owninated Argentina for yet another bronze. Sigh. I thought Argentina was a legit threat to Team USA but USA romped 'em by double digits. Bittersweet but better than nothing.
