Eating Grapes at the Supermarket?

Would you count that as stealing even if you don't buy any grapes to take home? And even if you did buy some would you still count that as stealing? If it is O.K to steal grapes what else is O.K to try at the supermarket?

Heh, yeah.. You can't go to an American grocery store/supermarket without seeing some fat woman tossing grapes, candy, or whatever down her throat.

I don't think a few grapes will cause a big store to go bankrupt, but of course it's stealing.

Stealing. Unless the bag is already in your trolley/basket and you are going to buy them. Too much emphasis is placed on the idea that you have to pay for something before it's yours. I suppose in a big supermarket I can understand that paranoid idea, but I'm a small, personal shop lover.

Eh, for me it was always the peanuts and pistacios that were already out of the shell. Come on, whats the harm in that? I just see it as a coupon everybody gets, a few free nuts here and there. Sticking a bag of Planter's down your pants is one thing but 3 or 4 nuts a month? Come on.

I can't say I've ever done it, but yeah, its stealing. Its not like these big companies can't afford it though.

Ey, even skinny people are able to do the same... meh..

It's not reallly stealing, I think. It could be even a marketing strategy to leave grapes and other bite-sized fruits opened, without a plastic bag over. Some people just try out what they taste like and little children poke you when they want to have the tasty sweet grapes. Sure, it's called theft of food on the one hand. But on the other hand, you can call it theft of food if you would grab to a yoghurt and eat it but not a small grape.

Grapes are sold in price per grammes anyway. So, why not tasting one?

I don't do it myself because too many people touch the fruits and I prefer my own germs.

Its like those samples that supermarkets used to give out. Remember those? Free little pizza squares and the like.

I always liked it when there were waffles.

But this sort of reminds me, about a week ago, I was chilling in Wal Mart with a couple chaps. I was meeting a gal later that night, but hadn't put on any cologne and whatnot before going out. Now, for some reason, before my friend pointed it out, I'd never come to the realization that there's nothing stopping you from applying spray deoderant (ala Axe and Tag) on yourself in the aisle. Granted, I trying on ever potential flavor probably did more harm than good, but damnit, I was excited at the revelation.

That reminded me of when I was a kid. I have really weird eating habits so sometimes when we were shopping I would get very hungry. My mum used to pick up a packet of crisps or something like that, have me eat them and then take the empty packet to the check out and pay for them there.
