Snakes on a Plane!

I think that just about everyone who has been online in the past 6 months knows the whole back story about Snakes on a Plane. And even though I know that this movie is going to be really, really bad I'm still going to see the Modern Day Rocky Horror Picture Show. So who else is going to watch this B-Grade movie with A-Grade Hype? Or are you one of these people who thinks that the hype is over-rated and you don't care?

I want to see it actually. It looks quite good. It combines a great concept for a horror picture with Samuel L. Jackson's Jules persona. Sounds like a pretty good movie to me.

I think I'll pass. Partially because I'm too poor to even eat at the moment and partially because of a lack of interest.

See it. For the love of all things holy, see it. With a group of friends though. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun without them cheering on beside you. The whole theater was cheering, clapping, screaming(with glee not horror) and laughing hysterically throughout the entire thing. I'm not going to spoil anything, but there were some great terrible moments in the movie. If that makes sense.

Samuel L. Jackson, you are my newest hero. "I've had it with these mother****ing snakes on this mother****ing plane!" A cult classic for sure.

This film is wonderful, and for the first time in my life I longed to be with a bunch of Americans. That would of really made the entire thing, as described above.

It is really very stupid but wonderful. Wonderful.

I saw the advert today for the first time, and it was the first I'd heard of the movie. It looked somewhat respectable because of Jackson, but once I saw that the whole movie was about snakes my interest slumped. When I then saw the name of the movie, I couldn't help but laugh.

From what I've heard, the only reason Jackson signed on to the movie was because of the title. It actually wasn't meant to be the final title--only something to fill the blank for the time being, but when he saw it, he said he'd only be in the movie if they kept the title "Snakes on the Plane" without even reading the script. Heh, that would certainly explain why the movie has so much hype.

Jackson signed on to the movie was because of the title.
I heard that too. I also heard that he joined halfway through the production process so that they had to reshoot alot of scenes again.

The name just makes me gag but I will go and see it as your reccomendations are so good.

It would say its going to be very predictable. For starters the title. Snakes on a Plane.

Another would be 'did you hear that?' The hissing. From that point you know that something going to jump out at you on screen. Cheap scare not like in proper horrors where you don't know what out there.

Not trying to be rasist or anything like that. Just declaring that watching most horror/action films...notice the black guy is always the hero that never dies. (Maybe it mostly the ones I have watched)

Remember Deep Blue Sea?

When I first heard of the film (actually on that website with the game character actors) I thought it sounded rubbish. But now I realise that the film isn't about being an Oscar-winning piece of Art, but just a good time. And in that respect I think it is excellent.

It looks the cheasiest film ever. I won't be going to see it. The main reason being they won't let me in till I'm old enough. Last time I tried getting in underage it didn't go too well.

I'll probably get it on dvd though.

No. No. No. No. No. No. And did I say no?
Don't be the silly guy who says "I'm gonna rent it." Half the freaking fun of it for me wasn't what was going on the screen, it was going apeshit with a bunch of drunken people screaming things and throwing plastic snakes around. You know how Animal House is a pretty funny movie if you watch it sober with serious friends but its a kabajillion times better late at night, a little buzzed, with a bunch of crazy people? Exactly. Half the freaking fun is flipping out with a bunch of other geeky schizoids. If you're going to buy it or rent it you really should go to a cheap movie place and get the full experience.

Souper Leto, this is Samuel Jackson being discussed, not the infamous Peter.

I know exactly what you mean, John, but I couldn't interpret this premise as fun in any way. If I go and see it, I'll be out of the cinema faster than I was out of the screening of Thunderbirds, holding my head in my hands, with a severe intelligenceache.

But that's just me. You all go ahead and have fun.

I agree. Some people can go watch it and have fun, while the others can stand around and smile at their intellectual superiority.

It's a win-win situation for all concerned!

I'll definitely go and see it when it gets here, but I have a feeling it won't be as good as it would be elsewhere. For example, no one except one of my friends even knew the 'Juggernaut, bitch' reference in XMen 3.

That film sounds shit, looks shit and I thought it was a comedy when i first saw the preview.

"Snakes on a Plane, that sounds like a good comedy... Hang on... Samuel L Jackson. He doesn't do comedies, he's shit at them... It's a horror?????" then i did laugh.

I'll probably watch it when it comes on tv.

I just got back from seeing this classic. And I must say that it was better than expected. Yes it was still corny but it was great. I know that I shouldn't but I was laughing at some of the death scenes and some of the lines are classic. My favorite bit was when Snakes started biting people.

The death scenes are supposed to be funny, a man getting bit on the dick by a snake is hardly tragic.

Hey, watch the spoilers, Kamille.

With that said.. Spoiler-ish thing:...

How could you not laugh at either of the two bathroom scenes? I preferred the snake bite on the nip of one of the slutty woman's ugly breasts. I like how my friend and I shouted "Bite 'er boobyyyy" right before it happened... so easily predictable but that was half the fun.

Feckin awsome.Period.

I can honestly say its the best move with snakes on a plane.

theres no real plot and the ending sucks but who gives a shit...people just wanna see snakes on a damn plane and it achieved that in an awsome fashion.

Theres so many plot holes you could drive a dune buggy through it but no one even notices or cares once the movie really starts.

My only dissapointment was Samuel L Jackson didnt have a showdown with that Boa Constrictor
