well, fangus probibly wont come out, so maybe this should go in the fan section, but:
games speak like they had in the quintoligy would be awsome.
several different types of animals, with different abbilities.
being able to go under water.
controling industrial vecahles.
wild life (could be included with the animals fangus control, maybe you would have tp capture them) .
more speacies and characters. more weapons.
multiplayer/co-op and more and longer CG movies.

First of all, melee and fps mode would be great (SW), and hopefully the use of real guns and not live ammo, lots of blood, gamespeak, meeting up with stranger, abe, and munch, and taking down hordes of enemies and factories.

If Stranger and Fangus's stories aren't involved with the quintology of Abe and Munch, or even each other's, why would the four of them meet?

And I would like them to change Fangus's design. I know I'm a broken record, but LOOK at him. He looks like the lovechild of a panther and The Incredible Hulk. I mean, I'm all for an Oddworldian The Punisher with a dark story and rabies and junk, but he looks so...uninspired.

Oddworld has brought us such vividly imaginitive and abstract characters, and then we're presented with this guy. Any idiot can create something that greatly resembles an Earth creature (heh, the creator of Actra is ranting about familar creatures), but that's not what Oddworld's known for in my opinion.

I mean, can you compair an...Elum to another Earth creature? A Scrab? A Paramite? Abe or Munch? A SLIG?! NO! Because those were completely origonal! We can't assocoiate them with anything that exists here! But I take one look at this Fangus Klot person, and I go "Oh, a cougar. Great."

Yes, I KNOW. I know I've ranted about this before. But think about it, Oddheads. Can you really say that Fangus (although great in storyline) really stands up design-wise to Abe or Munch?

What I really like about Oddworld creatures is that they all look like they could be Earth creatures, and have names that sound like Earth creature names, but they still don't look like one specific animal.

Besides Meeps, Slurgs, Grubbs, Clakkerz, and our good friend Fangus Klot.

Something must done about his design! I don't think he looks like a cougar myself, more a bodybuilder with their head replaced with that of a cougar, but hey. It's so boring. B-O-R-I-N-G. Mainstream my foot, creativity seems to be going down the drain and that's not good. If the old games had contained such uninspired designs would I be the fan I am today? I think not.

Anyway, other than that, I'd like some critters, big and small, that aren't really needed. Just to bring the world to life. I doubt it would happen, but I can dream.

...although I must confess I've never seen a picture of this "Fangus" bloke (can't get them to load, for some reason, then gave up anyway), I'm going to echo what Matt said. It was precisely the surreality of the Oddworld creatures that attracted me to OW in the first place - Glukkon, Sligs and Scrabs in particular, as they were SO inhuman and unearthly, and I'd love to be able to create species like that to populate my own galaxy (as it stands, most of my creations turned out as very dull humanoids). Newts with boobs (all right, evolved fish, but they LOOK like newts) I can forgive, as I'm biased in my pre-existing like of amphibians, and the Hickens looked vaguely Mudokon-like so they kept with the canon, but... I'm dismayed by the description of a cougar. Is Oddworld going furry? :P

I would to like to see a lot of oddworld, a lot of different places. So that you can see a lot of different species. Perhaps some place where Gabbits live, now that Munch got the gabbiar. the place where Alfs rehab is and so on. But if Fangus is not coming, then the next oddworld would be on the next-gen consoles. That would kick ass.

Well I thought that since all of the OW games take place in the same universe that it would be possible for them to meet. I think it would have been great if it would have shown strangers hoof on the moon personally.

I wold like to see......
Towns so big they look like citys.
shooting your guns in the 3-person and 1-person.
multiplayer/co-op and bots and playable characthers like stranger, abe, munch.
make it a longer game make alot of blood and gore.
And put some sidemissions and being able too go to other people house and steel there mullah.
make gamespeak more better and make it harder too find your bonuties.
And thats my wishlist

places big as city's are cool, but the city's must be alive. Animals running, waterfalls and stuff. No dull houses that are just standing, but most of all more shops. I really miss the jail that is only in the first part of the game. It is fun to talk to the bounties.

Wow great ideas guys. I'm a little afraid to start making ideas up about a game we'll most likely never see, but I'll go ahead with it because I love thinking up ideas for games I'm interested in.

I love the spralling cities idea, with animals, explorable houses, side quests, and all that other stuff sounds great. I would have loved it if Stranger were more like that. One idea I had once that some may remember was to have it so Fangus could run around like Stranger, but more like that SUV animal in the SUV commercial. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? In any case, it was this large, fuzzy, beast-like SUV/Buffalo hybrid. It moved around very fluidly like a dog, but also very hulk-like in appearance.

I would love it if you could crash into buildings and make either huge dents (big metal structures) or smash through it making a hole in the house (wooden houses). Enough hits and you could demolish an entire building/house/structure. Also, brick houses would take a few hits to knock down, and bricks would fly everywhere in the process.

See, I just love the destructable environments idea, and I want them to take it even further, except have there be HUGE cities you could just have a playground for platforming, demolishing, and just shooting up everything you see. What I wouldn't give to have that type of game. #1 reason I'm looking forward to the new Hulk game coming out this summer

Damn, I've hyped myself up for nothing

Anyway, Fangus is never going to be made. OWI has confirmed it.

heehee...if I there is going to be another stanger game. I would like to see more steefs. Maybe control a grubb and ride one. That should be fun. They are similar to greek myth of centaurs.

I don't think Stranger should meet up with abe, munch etc. It will get too complicated and too many smiles.

A) Fangus was meant to be set outside of Mudos.
B) They're not making games ATM anyway.
C) Can we please close this so that no-one posts any more pointless crud in here?

Okay, that's wierd. First this thread is filled with about ten copies of this post. Then I reload and there's only two. So I edit the second one and now it's disappeared also.
