Speak for yourself. Myself, I probably have more female friends than male friends. I usually feel I can speak more freely with girls than guys for some reason. And I think it's good to have friends from both sides, because then you can get a good idea of what both are really like, instead of making stupid generalisations

I don't really think how well you might get on with someone has much to do with whether they are girl or guy; it just depends on what they are like and what you are like. So... meh...
