my favorite-bosses are Fatty Mcboomboom n' Lefty Lugnuts. espacially Mcboomboom i got him alive! first i knocked out the outlaw-minions and bountied em. and second i shot em snipers out of their positions and last i used thudslugs, boombats and the zapfly to take out F.mcboomboom's stamina and... well ya can figure out the rest.

I liked Packrat Palooka and well I really enjoyed takeing out the minions in the rescue operation of Eugenus. That stage is so fun especially when you push minions off the massive platform where they fall hundreds feet below. Oh yes Glocktigi were cool too with me.

I think I liked....oy vey. Whats his name. The boss that fought you inside a Clakkerz town. Remember? Its very hard for me to tell these guy's apart. Other than Jo' Mama who was the only female, all of the bosses seem too simular in character to me.

That was Meagley McGraw, the Outlaw you fought in the Clakker's home? With Tiny too. Yeah, i agree with yeh, metroixer. He was pretty clever, aside from Packrat Palooka...

I liked all of them for the same reason;they all required different approaches and techniques, especially if you wanted to catch them alive. It added a very nice strategy element to the fights. As for my favorite I'd probably have to say the two Gloktogis in the library. That was a HUGE challenge. x_X

I liked the one that captured you and took your pants off. All you have to do is push him in the flames.

I liked Xplosives magee and Jo'momma. I got all of the outlaws alive, but I thought Xplosives was fun, in a challenging way. I also liked that guy who you fought next to the turbine.

I'm playing it through for the second time now. The first time I captured 7 alive and this time I'm going to get all of them.

The hardest to capture alive so far has been Packrat Palooka. His stamina regenerates quickly so you really have to give him a continuous pasting. I think I got his stamina half way down before he came down from his platform. I just managed to knock him out before his energy went completely.

Meagly McGraw was difficult to capture alive as well.

Jo Momma and Filthy Hands Floyd were the easiest as bolamites work on them.

Xplosives is really easy to capture alive once his minions have been dealt with.

I've got three more to go now and of those three, it was only Elboze Freely that I failed to capture alive last time.

Nah, I don't think it's a problem as long as it isn't actually a dead (ie resolved) topic.

Playing SW again, I've been disappointed by the lack of variation in the boss battles. Almost all of them can be taken down alive by some combination of thudslugs, skunkz and zappflies.

Bolamites hardly ever did anything - I think there was only one boss who could be trapped and even then not for long. And stingbees and boombats tended to take damage rather than stamina.

You can't win with these types of things. Either an old thread is being brought back to life, or a duplicate thread is being created :-)

I think the limited choice of weapons to take them alive is a great part of the design. It's very easy to kill them but, it takes a lot more skill to capture them alive where you only have two or three weapons to use.

Bolamites work on Jo Momma and Filthy Hands Floyd. Makes getting across to Jo Momma very easy.

Except that I don't need to experiment much at all beyond those three ammo types. It takes no skill beyond coordination to be able to whack them repeatedly.

Well...yeah...it doesn't take a moron to realize that punching the shit out'a something'll actually get them tired.

That's not what I meant. I'd just have liked the chance to use boombats and stingbees tactically, rather than as killing weapons.

I don't use the Stamina. I nevr got how it worked... it would be nice if someone could explain it to me.

I JUST finished Stranger's Wrath for the many'th time. It's a game that never really gets old. I hadn't played it in a while, so I forgot how much fun fighting the Gloktigis can be!

I just loooove pushing wolvarks and outlaws of really high cliffs and watching them scream and fall to their deaths , pure blissimosso!
Me favourite boss would have to be either palooka ( the coolest computer nerd in the world! ) or floyd ( he has those groovy badges and whatnot on his hat )

So are you saying you've never bountied a boss alive?

Anyway, the stamina bar works like the health bar, except that it regenerates. Every weapon type has a different affect on each of the bars. So if you hit a boss repeatedly with a weapon that takes out more stamina than health, then they'll be knocked out and you can bounty them. Alternatively, if you use a more damaging weapon they'll be killed.

The thing to notice about the stamina bar is that weapons often take off a small amount of stamina and leave a larger amount glowing bright blue. If you hit the enemy again quickly (zappflies are good for that) then he'll lose that entire blue portion. So often I'd play by hitting the boss with one weapon (charged zappflies and skunkz are often good for that) and then hit him again quickly with another one like a second zappfly or a thudslug.

A combination of thudslugs and charged zappflys always let me take in any boss alive , I highly recommend it.

Of course, I have!

I was aware of that it was like a health bar, and that it regenerates, ect., but I never had any idea on what weapons did what to the Stamina or that it could really help you take 'im alive.

Anyways, thanks heaps for the help and suggestions, guys!

Exactly mu point, friend.
I play Munch's Oddysee over an' over, and it never got old!
In fact, I did a whole bunch'a new things while I was at it.
But with Stranger's Wrath, well, let's just say, I'm glad I got it.

Well, what I like to do is play Munch's Oddysee through, then come back to it after a while. And during that time that I'm not playing Munch's Oddysee, I would have played Stranger's Wrath 2 or 3 times.

Munch's Oddysee never does get boring, I just don't like playing it more than one time in a row, like I do with Stranger's Wrath.
Still, Munch's Oddysee is my favorite out of all four games.
