Yeah it was supposed to be closed. It has been mysteriously re-opened for dumb comments which are supposed to make people feel superior or sumthing i, dunno.

The hell? You need to get you stuff straight. This is the most hilarious and at the same time pathetic statement I ever heard from an admin. Rules are meant to be broken? You are the guy who is supposed to be enforcing them! So do your job or give up your title, you can't have both. Either break them or enforce them, make a choice already.

EDIT: Scratch that. I've received complaints from several members stating that they were not properly represented in this thread, so I'm temporarily giving you guys a chance to get this stuff off your chests. Just make it quick and concise; keep the "rwar" to a minimum.

We don't need pent-up anger coming out in some other thread.

@Havoc: That's fine. If you think that I'm not fit for my title, then that's your opinion. It's obvious that you guys don't want to treat this as a joke. But really, lighten up, man. This is just forum moderation, not some deep, fraternal order.

No one can accuse me of not doing my job. I fulfill my duties and therefore won't be giving up my title anytime soon.

As for Wired, the situation is completely different from a single person making a multi. This was several staff and regular members working on a practical joke as a planned, isolated incident with consent of administration ahead of time. That's the difference.

Needless to say, an incident like this will never be allowed again, simply because some of you obviously aren't able to step back and laugh at the situation.

Also, I don't know where I've been "making a fuzz" about people creating multis. I inform everyone in the Employee Lounge when I ban a multi, simply because it's my job to do so. But that's about it. The only example of me specifically complaining about multis has involved Dino, but that's only because he's had five or six accounts, despite the fact that no one ever wanted to hear what he had to say. And he was douche.

Also, I'll be creating a new rule thread in EL. Both of you are expected to contribute, but keep Wired-specific trash in here. If the general member base wants me to practice a stricter enforcement of the rules, then I'll do so.

EDIT: Fair warning. This thread will be closed again sometime tomorrow. Anybody else with something to get off their chest is welcome to do it now.

But seriously, if we can all agree that this needs to be put behind us, then it's counterproductive to have something like that in a signature. Come to think of it, it's not cool to flame any member in your sig, no matter how much you think that they deserve it.

Oh, very quickly, I want to mention one last thing that I forgot to earlier.

Dark Elite, Hobo did not, I repeat, did NOT ban you. He didn't have that power. Only someone with admin powers (Alcar, Abe Babe, or SeaRex) can ban someone. Hobo simply gave out warnings, which the admins can over-ride if he or she doesn't think you deserve it. If you were banned, there was a reason that the admins agreed upon--not just because Hobo had something against you or whatever.
