I don't see how it could be munch or any other hero since they weren't designed yet when AO came out

Besides Squeek!
Squeek was the first Quintology Hero to get his design, so it COULD be Squeek's Paw/Foot up there.

Squeek was the first hero that Lorne told Sherry about. It has never been stated anywhere that he has been designed definitively.

well lorne didn't had any designer artist before starting up OWI, so I think the design of sqeek wasn't done when he tryed to convince Sherry.

TomFrogman , i told them before...ODDWORLD has many moons

in one of our game magazines was a interview with Oddworld Inhabs, it was 1998, where Lorn's telling about AO and other games of quintology including SQUEEK!so it could be his print.

Hmm, it could be Squeek, it could even be what the original foot design for Munch was. It could be another character, or just a rnadom moon. I think it mght be a graphics error, they forgot to do the rest of the palm. Or it's a severely bent human foot or a rabbit head. It could be a lot of things, the fact that it appears WITH Abe' moon proves to me that it isn't his. I say it's an early Munch's moon, as it appears to be smaller than Abe's, like Munch's is. Or it is Squeek's, if he really was mentioned back in '98.

Munch was not designed until well after that. If you look at the Art of Oddworld book you will see how much work went into designing Munch. And my assumption is that if Munch was not designed, then they would not yet have got around to designing Squeek.

Lorne had developed the character of Squeek and the other two heroes, but they have not yet been visually designed (as far as we know).

I have to agree with Abe 01, I think we do tend to look a little too deep into these things. But, that's our job.

We like to make more sense based into the things we find, look for a deeper meaning, making the small details matter so we have a propely realistic functional oddworld universe.

Abe 01, you have a point, and it definately could be just that.
But it just looks too intentional.
But then again, unless they're keeping a huge secret from us in the way of character development, it probably isn't some other character print.
But wow. I didn't think there'd be so much discussion. I thought someone would just say, "Oh, that's [insert simple explanation here]. Dave, you're an idiot." And then that would be it.

I'd say they're either depressions in the moon, similar to Earth's, or, knowing that each 'hero' would have a moon, OWI decided to implant ambiguous symbols on some moons.

That's the moon I was talking about to begin with.
So are we going with the idea that there are two mudokon print moons?

for me there's only one moon, I don't realy see why there would be 2 of them
so here are 2 theories I don't realy believe:
- the moon moved
- you are simply at another place and have another view point

It probably is shading, but I like to think its the print of an unrevealed species or an early cocnept species that was scrapped. Bu I reckon its either shading, or (this is less likely) the developers made a mistake, misplaced Abe's moon and it came out like that.
