Squeak

This is my first post so Im going to make it a good one. i have been oddworld fan for ages and only just tumble onto this forum...

I am not sure if it is already been declared because there are alot posts in this forum and surprised in how much i learnt from it. People do know their stuff here

ok back to the question...im looking at the 'supposed' next oddworld game
Squeak's oddysee

Do you think it could be the based on the mice/rats in oddworld? In which Lorne call them Ratz (i think) from the oddworld art book. I get this cause there is a fair bit about them. The name Squeak is given for this reason?

That's a good hypothesis about Squeek possibly being a mouse like creature. but to be honest, we know virtually nothing about what we have in store for Squeek, as we are led to believe OWI is far more focused on other projects right now.

From what I've read, Squeek was supposed to be a parasite, but as Used said, OWI are workin' on other projects now.

Welcome to the Forums Ninjaxe. Your theory makes sense, but there's one flaw: Rats were thought of by Lorne during the development of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, while the character of Squeek has been around in Lorne's mind for years.

That's not to say Squeek won't be a rodent-like creature. You have to wonder where the name Squeek comes from. But then, where did Munch's name come from?

Lobo, it's never been suggested by any official sources that Squeek will be a parasite. We've had a fleeting mention by Lorne that Squeek's Oddysee features symbiotic creature relationships, and people have interpreted this in very direct, specific ways.

Plus, we've generally assumed that each hero and their enemy would be a creature we had never previously seen.

I remember Lorne saying something like that
that if we see the heroe before the time's right he will get it redesigned...
