Stranger's Wrath River weirdness, is the current too strong for you?

I'm just letting people know because this one got me too, but I figured out what was wrong myself before I got cleared to post here.

It took me a while to figure this one out since I play almost constantly in 1st person which I prefer, but there's a point in the river section of Stranger's Wrath where the river current suddenly won't let you advance (if you're in 1st person).
I thought at first I hadn't finished the level or maybe I had double clicked on the flood gate and the next level was still locked or something, but you simply need to switch to third person and the movie starts that moves you on to the next level. After that I would boat alternately in both 1st and 3rd person and didn't have any problems.

So if the game stops you from continuing on at some point, just shift perspectives and try that way.
