Is abe coming back?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but now oddworld have gone to 3d I think they could make a great game with modokons in it , e.g good scenery of temples and villages, is oddworld keeping Abe? (hopefully not munch, man hes boring)

I think oddworld are keeping Abe, but they cant only base their games on him, they need new characters and new locations, just like in Strangers Wrath it was a hole new side of Oddworld we hadnt seen before.

I am sad to see OW go 3D at all... I loved the realism of the first two games. I loved it when it was 2D and not cartoony...

I do think Abe will reappear

Well I'm not sure if they're about to, now when they're making a movie n' all o' that; it would be pretty much to do, jus' count the things they're about 'bout to do with the movie...

Anyhow if they did make a new game then I probably guess that OWI will do something with Abe or else something new. But as mentioned they was at first about to do movies but they wanted to make a fortune, so instead of paying twice the dubble, they waited till now (if I'm not mistaken or somat).

Otherwise ya can ask Max or Xavier, after all they know much more than I do about the subject.

Abe will be in most (if not all) the quintology stories (AO, AE, MO, ...) in films or in games form.

Now it's only a matter to see if Lorne wants to get back to the quintology.

personally I think he will with OWI's first film.

Meh Abe will come back IMO. So many people love the guy and a lot of fans would hate seeing him ignored. (SW is an exception to me).

I really hope that Abe does not have a return. He's had a good run, and OW has said to explore other quintology heroes.

Even though i enjoyed Munches Oddysee, i think it went against what Oddworld stands for. Oddworld is supposed to be dark and grim and be very realistic in storyline and in graphics. It is definately not supposed to be Happy and Cartoony like most of MO was....

I felt like SW went against it as well in that in OW games, the whole point was to not be intimidating (like stranger was) and you should be the under dog (like stranger wasnt).

I'd just like to know if anyone is on my side....

Stranger was the underdog, did you see him with any immense political power? No, he came off as a simple being trying to make a living.

Having no immense political power doesnt nessecarily mean that you are the underdog.

Because he kicked major arse, both with two legs and four.

And because he had many weapons which took away the a lot of the strategy element of OW games... Many characters got f*cked up in that game who didnt have any weapons... like towns folk...

Oddworld isn't 100% about being dark and gloomy, even if it's still the side I prefer.
some people have to understand that each game OWI produced IS Oddworld and contribute to the definission of Oddworld itself. I have no problem with people saying Stranger wasn't as AO, but that doesn't make SW a non-Oddworld game.

People saying AO and AE are the only oddworld feeling games are bounding Lorne's creativity.
