I'm leaving in a stupid huff...

Ha! Fooled you suckers, I will now launch into a brief explanation about how I'm actually going on a vacation and harbour no grudges, and have demonstrated how you can be lead around by drama like a carrot dangled in front of a donkey. I will now proceed to laugh at the ensuing forced smiles masking disappointment at the discovery of a perfectly normal and mundane thread where high drama was expected.

I'm not actually going on vacation, I just need to let everyone know that if I'm absent for periods of time over the next few months it's probably because I'm busy in the real world with friends, lovers, and other such nonsense... oh, and I'm starting up my own business, so I might be busy with that for a while.

This isn't a "bye" thread, it's just to let everyone know in case anyone wonders where I've gotten to... doubt anyone cares but hey, it makes me feel better so that's all that counts.

I was starting to wonder, what with the random log-ons and long periods of time where there was no sign of you.

Hey people, this man has a life! Zomgo!

Aw Dino. I was expecting it to be a random n00b willing us to beg and plead him for them to stay.

Good luck with your business and I hope you have a great time with your lovers and friends.

I don't get it. Are you telling us that you may not be on sometimes during the next few months because you have a life? I think for most people, that's just common sense.

Uhhhh... thanks for the heads up?

Okay, okay, well I figured out a while ago that printing a tshirt with the design that someone really wanted was a good way to make a quick buck. Some friends and I were chatting in the coffee shop (like you do) about things that would be cool on a tshirt... and this got me scheming. I went home, did the designs, sent them off to a tshirt printing company and got one of each done on a black tshirt. I sold them to my friends at a pretty tidy profit.

So I got thinking; "Hey you know what, I could do this for a living!", so that's what I'm gonna do... I'm going to design funky stuff to put on tshirts, and sell them to anyone who'll buy them, hopefully alternative shops like Blue Banana. Once I've built up some recognition I hope to be supplying my tshirts to catalogues through orders made directly to the printers, who I'll hopefully be working with in a business relationship. That way the whole thing will be like one big automated process, where the orders come in, the printers take a cut of the money, and the rest is sent to me. And all I have to do is just keep the designs coming each month.

I'm basically going to play it safe by staying away from large investments, I'll let the already successful printing company handle that. Hopefully once the ball is rolling I'll be making enough to live on and will be able to move into my own place.

mmm, that pic isn't a finished design though it's just a concept... it will eventually be drawn all neatly and fancypants, and get given better colouring and stuffsies but that's not my job so that's not what I do. :P

Anyways thankyou all, I'll try to get on as much as possible but if not, well at least you know where I am.
