Elezar the Demon:A Tale of Love, Honor, and Demons!
This is a little story I've made up from a couple of days ago. I haven't done much yet, but here goes:
Chapter 1: Dead and Lovin' It?
In the middle of a quaint little forest, the quiet city of Treevale sat glistening in the sunset. A sparkly river snaked through the village and tree and forest creatures dotted the landscape. The tranquility was famous througout the kingdom, for the village had never seen war or violence. Children played in the woods, carefree due to the forest sprites watching over them. Men and women whistled as they went about doing their daily peasent business.
Yes, the lives of the citizens were carefree and happy, the lords laughed and talked with the peasants, the old lived long and happy, and the children became great servants to the king when they came of age. But today was different. For among the trees, a screech was heard. The citizens stopped what they were doing and ran towards the noise. Men ran until they came to a clearing in the trees, and saw a horrible sight. Sitting in the clearing was the dead body of a girl, and above it was a horrible demon.
It was as tall as a man, but looked nothing like one. The creature had grotesque bat-wings, two horns, and sported a blood red helmet and matching rags. The creature's facade was masked from view by a scarf covered in the blood of the girl he had just drank. He looked up from the body to the peasants and emitted a demonic laugh.
His left arm was now revealed behind his back. In place of an arm was a demonic sword, which glowed with energy of Satan himself. The peasants, who had heard stories of these creatures, started to run. But one bold man stood up with a pitchfork. He ran at the demon at full speed and hurled his makeshift javelin towards the hellspawn. The demon had just finished his laughter when he noticed the pitchfork two inches from his head. It's flaming eyes turned from an evil smirk to a worried look. Right before the pitchfork pierced the demon's skull, it muttered, "S&#@." He then evaporated into red dust and drifted away. The peasants then laughed and cheered for their new town hero.
The demon rematerialized into a hellish chamber. A floating skull hovered over to him. "What's the matter, Elezar? Can't take a peasant?" It laughed. Another demon, which looked like a spider creeped up to him and hissed, "Maybe you should try fighting something as strong as you, like a puppy!" Elezar sighed. He had gone through this before. Every single time he teleported to the aboveworld, he'd get killed and would be brought back down to this place where he would be mocked until it came time again to invade Earth.
Elezar walked away as the group of demons began to do impersonations of him. He stared at his rune boots as he walked across a narrow walkway over lava. Without looking, he ran into a commander of some Hellknights, who growled at him, cursed him in an ancient hellish tongue, and shoved him off the walkway into the lava. Elezar swam to the shore and brushed the molten rock off of him. Lava was the equivilent of water in Hell, so Elezar creeped off unscathed physically, but mentally he was totalled. "Damn it, why can't I kill one pathetic human?" He questioned himself. "It was fighting dirty, that's why!" He nodded to himself. Had the fight been in close range, he would've rended the human limb from limb.
Elezar considered where to go next. He thought of going back to his home, but he remembered his girlfriend was there, and if she found out he hadn't killed a servant of God, she would be pissed. All male demons knew that as much as they hated to admit it, females were the strongest. "Except for Satan." Elezar thought. Oh how he worshipped his lord. When he was first spawned from his master's flesh, Elezar identified him as his father. No, more then that. Him older sibling. That was it. Elezar knew that someday he would be so powerful that Satan would have to notice him, and when he did, he'd be ready, that's for sure.
While thinking about his destiny, Elezar ran into another demon. He braced himself for another lava impact. Instead, a bony claw reached for his. "My name is Ishtur, fellow spawn, and I may be able to help you with your....predicament." the figure croaked. Elezar stepped back and looked at him. This Ishtur fellow seemed to want to remain hidden, his wardrobe consisted of a brown cloak and nothing else. With caution, Elezar gripped the stranger's claw into his, and shook it. "Okay then," Elezar said. "What can you do to help me?" The cloaked figure formed his dagger teeth into a smile. "A punctual one. I like that. Follow me." Ishtur then walked down a dark, foul smelling alley and faded into it's darkness. Elezar thought about his girlfriend's reaction when he didn't come home, shrugged, and ran after the mysterious demon.
