A decent thread, so, I'll start off maybe a small conversation.

3 Timesplitters games, which is the best?

I've only played the first 2, so I can't really say, but I think that the 2nd one is the best of the two. It's not just because of the better graphics and such, it just has better levels and alot of better characters. [And Nikolai is bit... Scrumtuous.]

Although, I do think that the story is alot better on TS1, I only [I confess] play on the arcade mode. With capture the bag, death matches, bag tag and all the other fantastically amusing games.

What characters do you all use? I'm such a wuss, so I always use a Private Wood, or another character along the lines of that, as they all have fairly good stats in all 3 areas. Because then I know what I'm getting, instead of an agile but unaccurate monkey or a fast but unagile robot.

Time Splitters is teh mintz0rz.

What's your favourite level?

I'm such a softie, I still like the [is it the first one?] egyption one in TS1. I still have heart attacks at the zombies killing me, they're scary. They come out of blue light/warpy things and it's just creepy.

Or how about Hospital in TS2? It's so easy to get lost in there [for me anyway], and I hate playing Death-Matches there, because it's a creepy setting and you can get lost so easily. If you don't watch your radar, I find it's easy to run straight into the enemy.

Kool, what's it like? [Bearing in mind I haven't played TS3, so any detail or anything would be greatly appriciated.] What do you have to do, like liberate starving armys of caterpillas or assainate Alcar [ Joking ]?

How about favourite arcade game? [My forté ] I hate Zombie on TS2, it leaves me screaming at the screen whilst my friends kill each other because I always lose, and it freaks me out. [Not me losing, the actual game, I full scream whilst I'm being chased.]

Death Match and Team Death Match is an obvious old favourite, blast the hell out of the opposition. As is the same with the bag games.

Who do you play with? Do you play against the cpu, or with friends? I usually play with my brother, his best friend and one of my best friends. We're a good group together, although the boys are the best. I dislike playing on my own anymore, as I find it's nicer to play with a group of friends.

Timesplitters owns my life. Well, a month after a new one comes out...

Timesplitters 1: The most origional, in my opinion. Dual weild MINIGUNS!

Timesplitters 2: Great, so much content. I played this one the longest.

Timesplitters 3: A bit too commercial, like a sell out version. Still, very fun, Duckman Drake lives on.

My favourite challenge is Behead the Undead. I could play that for hours... Especially on TS2. On TS3 they ruined the shotgun.

Timesplitters 2 was great. Nice, uncomplicated, easy to use generic FPS, with a little tomb-raider style puzzle solving to do, challenging but still fun levels, and a good (if a little shallow) multiplayer. I liked the fact that it had an easy-to-use level editor in it, although I felt that it was perhaps a bit limited in what it could do.

Overall, the game was good, but simple. Really it just shows what can still be done with barebones game formats, and how popular they are.

I've only played the first one, on PS2. It rocked as far as I can remember. I played it with two of my friends. Since then I've fallen out with the person who owned the game, so I never play it anymore.

PM me your address, and I'll post you my copy of of TS2. These stacks of games need to go to a good home. Preferably a home with, a nice bottle of hot sauce on the table. Mmmm. Table.

I have only watched my older cousin play Time Splitters 3. They seem interesting, but I have never had the chance to play it.

When I 78-9 I can remember playing TS1, really fun. I never got a chance to play TS2 (Until recently), latest I played was TS3, probably the best one for me. The only thing I hated was the ending. I hope they'll make TS4 to carry it on.

I've played all the TS games but I've never really liked any of them. I only ever like playing TS:FP and that's only because on Xbox Live it's just a bit of fun, not many people take it serioudly.

TimeSplitters is awesome. I loved TS2 immensely - you could populate Streets with lawyers and accountants, custom set the weapons to pistols and have a Matrix shoot out. I loved the music especially, so distinct and magnificent, and the gameplay almost never wore tired. Then I got TS:FP and fell in love with that: the story and characterisation, even if the soundtrack isn't as good, in my opinion, as TS2. Ah well, it's just endless fun and humour. Marvellous.

EDIT: I want to play TimeSplitters with Rexy.

Indeed, Timesplitters 2 was the best in liek, IMO lol. The soundtrack in TS3 was bad in comparison.

But, Duckman Drake holds all the games together.
