Rhigt Abes Blue .... other muds arnt the explination to y he is blue is it is to make him stand out more than other muds on the screen i think but is there a oddworld explination? i do remeber alf saying something about him drinking a paramite drink or something was that just a joke like the many things alf says for a joke or was it ture?

you see i just have these thoughts :P!

I think it may be becase he is the prophecised one to save the Mudokons. He would have to be slightly different for us to relate to him. You know, like an outcast or something.

Mood affects mudokon's color
some believe Abe is a bit depressed by all the horrible things he sees

Aren't the guard mudokons with the slingshots in AO blue, too? Or is my tv's color mssed up?
Maybe only very spiritual mudokons are blue ...

I doubt it's depression that makes him blue, as the depressed mudokons in AE are a deeper blue than Abe. It could be to do with his chanting, you know how the possession orbs are blueish, maybe because he stores that spooce energy in him it glows inside him and makes him appear slightly blue?

Theories include:
Colour depends on spirituality
Colour in chameleonic through other ways, such as enviroment
Colour depends on mood
Colour depends on father/genes
Colour depends on exposure to pigment-changing things, such as UV rays
Colour depends on skin-paint.

AE was the game that basically confirmed the mood idea, even though the AE mudokons only changed colour for incredibly brief periods of time.

He's not blue. He's a mix of purple and different tones of green.

We just refer to all that as blue.

I swear there's lots of different colours. Like scrubs, natives and Abe are all different colours.

Yeah. Alf is really different shades of muddy and forest green with a white underbelly. At least in his face. I counted five different tones when I colored him.

I guess it varies with the individual, fate, mood, tribe and region.
