I never said the UK doesn't have the same problem. But UK radio is all crap and always has been. There's very few decent stations, and they're permanently glued to certain spots, the only things you can get nationwide are Radio 1, Radio 4, Radio 2, and BBC local radio for wherever you happen to be. All the other stuff you can only get on DAB digital radio.
So most of us either don't listen to the radio and listen to CDs, tapes, minidiscs, and mp3s instead, or live someplace where there's a decent station. Like London, and Bristol.
