As I toddled through MO it didn't strike me as a particularily special game. Then I got to the scrabs. The first appearance of wildlife. They were my first glimpse into the true Oddworld and it changed how I felt about the game. I possesed one and watched them interact with each other. These were real creatures, with more purpose them than to attack the player. They were alive.
Oddworld was no longer a game to me. It was a living breathing world.
(obviously I don't think that those little pieces of code are alive, it's just that being an animal freak the lure of animals that interact is one that I couldn't resist)

My favourite creatures would have to be meeches and sligs. I like meeches because so little is known about them and they look cool. I like sligs 'cause I think they're funny and they also look cool.

Sligs! I love Sligs, they are so funny, cool, their whole lifestyle is strange but interesting. Then it'd be Meetles (they look cool), Meeches (again cool concept art, shame they were extinct in the storyline) and Mudokons.
