Question Where do want to live?

Where do you hope to move to in the future?
Any particular Country, City, Region, Continent?
Or do you just want to stay where you currently are forever?

Whatever you wanna do say so and explain...

I would like to live in... well I don't know. In a high
bulding and I have a view of the whole city, with hovering cars, just like in 5'th Element.

I want to live for the next three years on a farm in Eastern Oregon but within like walking distance of the Cascades and therefore the forest. I think I would get a lot healthier, both physically and mentally, living in a place like that. Plus I could conquer my phobia of insects. And then after that I want to move to Seattle to go to the University of Washington, which I've been planning to do since I was in like fifth grade. I don't know where UW rests on the "Goodness Spectrum" of state universities, but as far as I'm concerned, it is heaven on Earth. Maybe some summer trips to Japan and Hawaii. And that's about as far as I've planned.

Four more posts and I get a free pen and pencil set!

Somewhere in Australia. I love this country too much to possibly think about leaving it for an extended period of time. I pretty much think I'll be situated in Sydney (or Perth) for my whole life, should things go my way.

I've been wanting to move to the US again recently. Actually I have wanted to before but after a relationship broke up nearly 2 years ago now, I didn't want to. But for some reason I want to again. I just feel there is something calling me there. All my closest friends live there and for the past 8 years, so many things have pointed me in that direction. However, it's such a big move to make. Having to find work is the hardest, as I just missed the Green Card lottery closure. And going out on a 1 year work permit might disadvantage one looking for work as employers may not see you as a permanent employee.

Don't get me wrong, I love Australia and it's a nice place and I am close to my family. But I just feel that there's nothing here for me. No one to share my interests or little opportunity in the area I wish to work in.

I guess I have some decisions to make. Maybe after next year's E3 I will decide.

In the past year, I've learned so much about Australia. I could so see myself living there near the Great Barrier Reef, which has been calling to me since I was tiny, and out chasing dolphins and scuba diving all the time. There's the absolute perfect college for me there; however, I couldn't possibly afford the move finacially or emotionally until I'm much older.

Abe Babe, what career are you interested in?

This isn't a permanent thing but I'm currently planning on going to the US to study for a semester next year in... wait for it... SLO!

Lorne will soon be seeing a creepy dark-haired guy following him around town.

Just so you know, I'm not going there only as a pilgrimage to OWI. Mostly, perhaps but not only. The Education Abroad coordinator in my uni raved about CalPoly (so beautiful and warm and close to the beach...).

I want to get into the video game industry. There is a very small industry over here, but the opportunities are much more limited than in the US. Although I am attending the Australian Game Developers Conference tomorrow [have been waiting months for this event] so I will hopefully find out a bit more about opportunities in Australia.

Nate ... I wanted to live in SLO for many years, mainly because of OWI [I won't lie] but also because I have been there three times now and love the town and the area. But I have also found out that it is a very expensive area to live in. So unless I got to work for OWI or had some other kind of good job already, it would most likely be out of the question for me.

Indeed, the Uk does have it's advantages. Whereabouts in the UK do you find a desirable place to live and would you live there?

I'd like to move to a nice modern house somewhere, if my band ever becomes a hit anyway.

I currently live in Eversley, lovely place.

I currently live in a suburban area of the west midlands, which is basically one huge metropolis of interlinking cities as far as the eye can see. I hope to move into one of the larger cities in England (London, Birmingham, Manchester) to go to art school eventually.

Well right now I'm living just outside of North Hollywood and I love it.

However I'd like to eventually retire to Canada or Australia. Both beautiful places with wonderful people.

Although being a SFX make-up artist [or atleast I will be once school is finished] I guess I'll be confined to the Hollywood area for the majority of my career....Which is great. I love Hollywood.

I like San Diego, maybe I'll live there someday.

I'd love to live in Japan, anywhere but Tokyo. Tokyo's to busy and the people are to brash.

I'd love to live in China but I find the language to hard...

If not either of them, somewhere in the country *country-girl*, perhaps large enough for a stables...

Hmm, well it all depends on my career.

I'd like to get into the videogame industry, so if I did I'd move down to London or to the USA.

However I would also like to live in Spain: Nice weather, nice people, nice food.

No, comics are illegal in Florida.

And yes, Mickey lives there.

Well, not to sound mentally unstable, but I have this obsession with rubber walls. So, anywhere without windows, and rubber walls, I'll be in heaven.

Shut up.

Otherwise, I'd live in Ukraine. Don't know why.

Erm....not everywhere in London is that great, and the living expenses here are amongst the highest in the world, rivalled only by Tokyo. Trust me, the cost of everything here is a lot higher than most of the world. Doesn't bother me, because I was born here, but it would be a shock for someone not from London. For example, the average price of a one bedroom apartment in London is £220,000 (about $400k) basically, that's the standard price. If you add any more bedrooms, you add another £100,000 for each bedroom. Plus, it's a rat race here. Trust me, I basically live in an area of North Paddington, and all you hear are cars, people and sirens. No peace, except for when you go to the parks.

Oh, and back on topic. I'd love to stay in London (if my mum leaves me this big old townhouse) or move to Tokyo; Kenya, South Africa, America, Malaysia or Australia. If I stayed here, I'd probably sell up and move about 15 minutes away to Mayfair, Chelsea or South Kensington. Living in Mayfair is so appealing. I mean, I'd love to be able to walk to Oxford St. and South Molton Street within a few minutes.
