:
the fuzzles were among the last creatures designed in MO... and in 97 OWI was working on AE (it came out the 23rd November 1998)
Not Completly tru because they were making these for MO in 95.

those designs were made for AO and then taken back for MO. 1995 is the date of the first desing.

Interesting that it says Munch on the bottom though. Maybe they were originally going to make Munch's Oddysee first but then decided to do Abe.

And I mean, c'mon, it's a frickin' ball of hair with eyes. I see no one is defending the Tribbles, eh? Who ripped off them?
Good point, Lorne has made tonnes of references to tribbles in referring to the fuzzles.

:
I can't be sure but I thought fuzzles started out as petpets... still.... I think OWI had them at first. I remember reading it on a billboard LCD screen in Abes Exoddus
No. Really. No.

Feel free to prove it with a screenshot.

But you won't.

it's because they took those sketches back to work on Munch... (3D models and stuff), and that's the way they presented their art in that period.
Actually the art existed before they were put into those little frames.

Just goes to show how unoriginal the Fuzzles' design and name are. There was a quiet riot on OWF when they were newly revealed creatures.

A furry big-eyed ball, usually with legs, is a very common thing to draw.

I agree with a lot of the comments made, but I wouldn't exactly call it copying or cheap. I mean, for one they are just balls of fluff with feet. And secondly, who cares, it's not like their claiming its there design, in fact if they do intend it to resemble an Oddworldian Fuzzle i'm sure there aware that users would notice the design.

It's interesting however to see the difference between the characters like scrabs and paramites compared to fuzzles, which are quite uniriginal compared to them. But then again i don't think their concept was intended as being that complex, they wanted them to have an easy to get, no too deep story behind them. Balls of fluff that want revenge!

Email neopets and ask them yourself whats the deal with the fuzzle designs, im sure because of the bizzare nature of the email you'd get a reply. So long as you ask them politely.

It was explained right at the beginning!
Fuzzle-Common name for fuzzy thing-not exactly original
Neopets - Made a Fuzzy thing first. Whoop-dee-doo

Why has this not been closed?

Well it hasn't had any posts in 14 days. That kinda means that a thread has died it's own death and doesn't need to be closed, unless some idiot posts an inane and useless comment.
