Who thinks we ought to nominate Dragadon as new moderator for FC?

Well, since Elum has done one of those "Dissapearing Acts" and hasn't shown up recently (at least not here), perhaps we should have a new moderator? Since Dragadon visits the Oddworld Forums every day, and is a regular visitor to FC, I think she would make a good new moderator. So, what do you guys (and girls) think?

As much as Dragadon would make a great Moderator, it would be kind of rude to strip Elum of his age-old title and assign a new Moderator when he does still attend the forums. I know he's around, and as far as I can see, the Fan Corner doesn't look like it's in desperate need of intense moderation.

A moderator only exists to make sure their assigned forum is running smoothly. As far as I can see, Elum hasn't failed at this yet.

If the need for a Moderator arises, I'll keep Dragadon in mind.

i think their should be 2 moderators for each forum catagory, a 1st moderator and a 2nd moderator. When the first is off for a while, the 2nd can do his/her job.

I'm going to throw my opinion in here ... I don't visit Fan Corner much... but today I noticed at least 2 topics that weren't actually "Oddworld" ... and I thought that Fan Corner was for "Oddworld" fiction, pics, etc. The funny thing is that I noticed this before I even saw this topic.

This is something that really needs to be discussed in the Employee's Lounge... but maybe a "joint" moderator position could be considered ... with a regular member/contributor such as Dragadon, and also keeping Elum as the original moderator.

Anyway, that's all I have to say on the topic for now.

And I do think that it's a good idea to make Drag the FC Mod. I have actually noticed a few spam posts here, and I do think that someone should have the power to deal with them.

ya'll er' funny. Of course I still attend these forums, Actually daily. There is never really anything that needs to be 'moderated' in the fan corner.

Also, I always assumed off topic fan fics and art was alowd. It doesn't matter to me. Moderator or not, I am still cool with the forums. *checks out administrative forum*

Middlesboogie, I just get tired of being considered the tyrannical administrator. Subtle situations like these are what I'm talking about. Perhaps I should just sit back and do nothing for the forums, maybe the quiet hatred towards me from members would subside.

Why don't Elum and Drag both moderate the forum together? TF is right: There are spam posts here that Elum has missed. Two people moderating one forum is better then one on his own. . .

I agree with the idea of Joint Moderatorship, since there are plenty of topics that not only do not pertain to Oddworld, but do not seem to pertain to anything... I refer of course to Abe's Son's 'Smile Wars'...

Well, I don't see how having two Moderators for the Fan Corner could harm anything. Dragadon, this topic heavily concerns you, yet you haven't said anything.

I hope I didn't say something I shouldn't have ... sorry Sydney. I didn't mean to make you look bad. It wasn't intended that way, just my own opinion. But before I read this topic I was actually thinking exactly what I posted after I saw that Smilie wars topic Rettick referred to. I was going to brng the whole thing up in Employee Lounge first, and then seeing this post turned that around.

*flies in* Ah but that topic doesn't have anything to with Oddworld and if it belongs anywhere its OT. To me FC is only for Oddworld related matterial and non-Oddworld related stuff should be posted in OT. (but then...I'm guilty myself of posting non-Oddworld stuff here in FC, though only pics.)
As for if I am up to for the job...sure I'm up for it. If you decide to make me a mod here I won't let you down.

No Abe Babe, don't be sorry. I'm the one who should be apologising, for my paranoid, schizophrenic drivel. Things in real life for me have been kind of troublesome lately, as a result, I think I've been an asshole here at the forums. You didn't say or do anything wrong.

So I apologise for causing this fiasco.

Dragadon, sorry if my behaviour embarassed you or caused any awkwardness. I'm sure you'll make a wonderful contribution to our league of moderators.
