Comics...

Just wanted to ask if anyone here reads comics. If so, which ones? I personally read Ultimate Spider-man and anything else dealing with my beloved web head. I also read anything I don't have to buy...heh heh....*cough*........

Well, thanks to Invader Zim and a little research, I discovered JTHM (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac) and Squee! But thats about it for comics. I had some Carnage comics when I was little, but my mom trashed 'em. Stupid mom...

Oh yeah, I think I've got about 3 Calvin and Hobbes compilations somewhere in my house. I love those guys.

Oh! I forgot about Manga! I like Silent Mobius, Project EVA, and Ranma 1/2. But my favorite is No Need For Tenchi, a series in which I've read all the way to the 7th book in the series (Chef of Iron), yet managed not to buy a single one! Let's hear it for being cheap!

I like reading Garfield Comics. I like the special 21st birthday edition. Choc full of extras like biographies on Jim Davis and a time line of important events that has happened up to that point. Oh and I love that spider section in there. But most of all, I just like the comics... the humourous gags make me smile .

I read the little comics in the news paper, such as the Peanuts and Garfield, I also read the far side, the simpsons, and I make some comics of my own. Once I get permission to use the scanner, I'll post one for you. They don't have the greatest art work, but they're kinda funny.

I have a hefty collection of Mickey Mouse comics left over from my father. Some of them are really funny - they got away with a lot more adult humour than most think in the 60's and 70's. *chuckles* And then there's Ranama 1/2. Funny shit. I like the panda.

It's been a long time since I've owned a store-baught comic, and I have never owned any Manga (God forbid I come home from the mall packing an Inu Yashsa Comic with nudity in the first chapter), but I do consider myself a pretty good artist, so I sometimes write and illustrate my own, just to brag about it when the next School week rolls back in.

P.S.
I know you guys are sick of hearing about the Oddworld comic I'm doing, but I promise it will be worth the wait. I want to finish the entire thing so I can ink it and send it in to Dark_Xintos for comp-coloring.

Dear God this thread is old. I haven't read some of that manga since the Middle School.

I'm also quite sure we have a more recent topic on this. If not exactly the same, then something similar.

I'm closing this thread on principle alone. No one will miss it.
