Hum, well, I was going to post some pictures, but the computer crashed halfway through. I'll try again...

Edit: A-ha, we have something happening... *keeps fingers crossed*

This is, I think, what sparked dragon-lady's arctics - I was doodling in my sketchpad and came up with a "Maned Polar" slig species.

And foolishly showed it to Drag - No, nono, keep that halibut away, Augh...!

Anyway...



They look a tad different, now - when in their full winter coat you can't see their tentacles - but you get the idea. I profiled the species, as well, as I was bored...

I'm working on a fic related to them, as well, but I'm not posting it until I've got everything else finished...

This happy soul is on the front of one of my files at home. Black Dragon should recognise them... (Sorry, BD, I liked what they looked like and adopted them. Hope you don't mind... )



Here's another one... BD and other frequenters of SRFR will have seem it before, but I'm quite proud of it. This is the "Old" Spectra, when the species were still draco-sligs (See if I can get her to work this time):

And the last one for now... This is my first attempt at computer-colouring (if you forget my somewhat pathetic attempts last year), so opinions on it would be nice... This is Yaaren - a picture for his profile on my page, which I still need to write... It was a gif, but PI! ate that part, so... *shrugs* never mind.

Yes, it works. Hm, interesting... That's an angelfire picture, and Angelfire usually get all smeggy if you try to post a picture on an angelfire site out of angelfire... But then I've noticed gifs seem to work anywhere. Anyone know why?

well, allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your pictures! i'm not sure why no-one else has, but... well, they haven't.

my lack of knowledge of SRFR's fanficcing before my time means that i don't really get the dragon pics, but they look very pretty, very colourful, well done.

i like the arctic sligs, althought the profile you wrote seems to regard them as non-sentient, are they less intelligent than the southern sligs?

D'oh! No, they're not nonsentient, I just haven't had time to finish their profile. They're basically just normal sligs with fur jackets.

Edit: Hm. Having now read up on the forums... How do I explain this without sounding like I'm spooning Dragadon? (euhm, sorry, "spooning" is Sev-speak... *thinks* "Getting mad at"? That's a good enough description...)

I dunno, maybe I'm a little put out that everyone seems to think that arctic species were Drag's hugely wonderful idea as it was one of the first pretty good ideas I've had in a long time. I'm not resentful of her or anything, as she's done a lot with them and her species is getting pretty well-fleshed-out, just now if I post anything (as I have A LOT of unfinished work on them sitting at home on my computer's hard-drive) it'll look like I've just copied her. Heh, I remember her saying something to the effect of "oh no, there won't be any furry drakkics, thank you very much..."

Sorry, Drag, don't take it personally... Maybe it's just because I've got flu and I'm over-reacting. I tend to overreact when I'm sick. Oh well, never mind. I don't think I'll bother going to my first lecture, it'll be a load of bollocks anyway.

Blerr, change the subject, change it quickly before I did this hole all the way to Australia...!

*scratches head* I profiled "normal" sligs as well; I can't remember if anyone's given me opinions on it or not as my brain's not plugged in this morning, so does someone want to proof it and tell me if it's a load of balls or not?

This one is (obviously) not finished, but I thought I'd post it anyway... I was trying to get the whole magicky effect going on but it's not working. This is Aura, once she's grown up/matured a bit from how she is on the RPG - no, she's not very powerful (not yet, anyway) the pretty lights are more for show than anything.


Opinions would be good.

Heh, that's Aurora with Malice - thoise two usually spend all their time trying to knock lumps out of each other, so this is a bit of a change of scene for them... At the bottom are Spider and Jan, who usually get roped into stopping them beating hell out of each other. Spider is asking who spiked their drinks - Jan has just given up.
