Something all Oddworld fans might be interested in.

Before I start, I'd just like to say you guys have a great community here. I'm hoping to start posting here regularly.

In any case, I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this, but I just wanted to let everyone who's an Oddworld fan know about an interview I'm going to be doing with OWI Production Designer Silvio Aebischer.

As you can see from my location, I reside in San Luis Obispo, CA, home of Oddworld Inhabitants. I am a student at the university right nearby (California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo), and I host a radio show on our campus radio station called Press Start that deals with gamers and the gaming community, and at some currently unspecified date in April, I'm devoting my whole show to Oddworld. A majority of that will be, as I said, an interview I'm getting to do with Silvio Aebischer.

So, I don't know if it's okay to post links here, but if it is, I'll be sure and get the station stream URL, as well as the date of the show, to anyone interested.

Anyways, just thought I'd let you all know since it seems relevant to the subject of the forum.

We won't have a problem with you posting links here. In fact most of the news sites will probably give you some coverage on our news pages as well.

I certainly would love to listen to the show. So if it is available on streaming, I know I will be listening [I live in Australia, so it would be a great option for us overseas to be able to tune in].

Do you think you could post a transcibe of that interview with Silvio Aebischer (Still jellous)?

That's sounds great, Yeah, Silvio Aebischer is a good arist, I like his work because its very detailed.

Yeah, they'll still be here. Sadly, they're moving up to Northern California sometime in the next few months. It will be very sad to see them go...

I just got back from OWI and talking with Silvio Aebischer.

I almost had a freakin orgasm. He was out to lunch when I arrived, so they gave me a tour of the studio and showed me all of the concept artwork and things like that.

It's amazing. There's awards and artwork everywhere; Sligs, Mudokans, Glukkons, Fuzzles line the walls on both sides in the form of sculptures and diagrams and sketches. I was in Oddworld heaven.

To make it better, about halfway through the tour, Sherry McKenna and Lorne Lanning walk through the door! I got to meet them and shake their hands! It was awesome!

Anyway, I'm going to master the interview and get it ready for broadcast. As soon as I finalize a shcedule for my show, I'll post the date and time of the Oddworld show as well as a transcript of the interview.

Oh sweet this is awesome news I am soo jealous right now its driveing me crazy! Well its because I am a graduating student with an illustration major and this kind of thing tickles my creative bone! Oh well that must have been something really fun. I would have loved to be in your shoes checking out OWI and everything. To be able to be in such a creative environment like that is something I truely long for. You like many are soo lucky congratulations to you.

*whew* I thought I had missed the broadcast. I wasn't sure if you were having a live interview or a recorded one. So I'm glad that I didn't miss it.

I won't comment on your experience visiting the studios, as I know what it's like. I'll just agree with what you say, it's certainly overwhelming. I'm glad you had that experience.
