Oddworld Music

Since the dawn of Oddworld, I have found myslef humming tunes from the previous Oddworld titles. Now with my repaired MP3 player- Oddworld Strangers music has been set upon me. I've been tone deaf for a week listening to 'Fight Of Natives' song, nonstop. It must be the best song I've heard in my life, and that aint ass kissing. OW: S 's soundtrack, from what is available on the official Oddworld site, is great. The tribal percussion, the guitar, the orchastral element- It forms a very trancy beat.

What are your thoughts on the Oddworld music, from any of OWI's previous titles and OW: S?

The Abe's Oddysee SoundTrack will be soon available I think...

anyway I love the oddworld music, even if I think they can try to make it more unique and with more personality. I mean, when you listen to LOTR or Halo music you direct know it's their music, not with Oddworld.

I'd love anysountrack of the games

I loved how the backround music completely changed when Stranger started fighting with the natives. I am a huge collector of game music(7.5+gigs worth of mp3s), and there has been a huge hole in my collection where the oddworld music should be. We should push to have a multi CD set of the first 10 years of oddworld music released.

Well I hope AO soundtrack is available for download, I love intro song of AO. I think the soundtrack has Abe-a-go-go music too.

And The Groove from MO has of bit singing in it. I like the music in the final stage of Mudumo Vualts, Final stage of SoulStrom brewery, And part where Munch is traped in trap, and a vykker craft hovers throught the wood. Feeco Depot sounds like an quire is singing in the background. Stranger's Wrath Sewers of Bazzarton is pretty cool.

Where can you find this "Oddworld Music" that you speak so fondly of?

Havoc, you are right. Sligslinger never did seem to get the equipment he needed to obtain the music working again before he vanished. The Abe-A-GoGo soundtrack provided by Xavier was hosted on my old server. The files might still be there, but I don't use that server anymore, so you needn't either.

I know how we could obtain MO music easily. Just turn the ingame sounds off, from the menu, then plug the Xbox into your PC via Vevo cable, or something similar. Or of course, you could go the bad quality way and just record it of the tv set with a microphone. And hear the recorder cough

That would be the way of a REAL fan MO's music isn't very special. It appears to me that there are a bunch of samples mixed up and the music varies on the number of mudokon / fuzzle fellows you're running with.

I heart the music. It's so unique & different from other tunes & beats. So unique I would catch myself randomly tapping my feet to a tune stuck somewhere in the void of my head. I hope they come out with a soundtrack available in the us.
