I don't think this has been done if your new and would like to introduce yourself you coud post it here. I thought this would be a great space saver rather than making loads of diffrent welcome threads.
While I would have agreed with you in the time before we had set up the Welcomes & Birthdays forum, such a thing is not necessary. Posts made in this forum are not tallied to your overall post count, so spamming for post count is not really a problem in here.
Besides, this forum is meant to encourage members to stay and contribute to the community. Having a seperate thread for each member means we can spend our attention on them instead of fifty thousand others at the same time. Not to mention things would get lost in here.
