Xbox.com Stranger's Wrath Page Updates

The Xbox.com Oddworld Stranger's Wrath mini-page has been updated with two new objects. Firstly, and most importantly, an interview with Lorne Lanning. It's pretty long, and a good read. Apart from that, they've also provided us with another preview of the Stranger's Wrath strategy guide. It is a different one from the one provided by Prima Games.

Actually, I've never sort of spoken of them much before. Just its the only AO, AE and MO creature with a good gun/ gun. Or, just a first person Mudokon, you could punch 'n kick I'm just obsessed with first person games that aren't fps. But then- a slig one WOULD be a fps...

I am not obsessed with Sligs. Sligs are just the only creature in all of the previous OW games with a good gun. Instead of a Slig first person game, they could make a Mudokon first person game, where you can punch and kick. I am not obsessed with sligs, just first person games that aren't shooters... But then again, a slig action game WOULD be a first person shooter...

Still, is anyone, else except me, hoping that the next action game will not be with Stranger? Like, with previous characters?

Ironically, I'd actually like to see another Stranger game. It's got me captivated, with his mysterious past. Can't wait to actually play the game.

Because I love the design/ feel of the previous games. Not that I don't like Stranger- I just love the oldies too much. Another Stranger game would be welcome, though.

Yeah I love the old games too. But, no offense aggainst abe and munch, but how are they gonna fight for themselves, besides munch if they bring back super munch.

Stranger should have the next game but if Munch and Abe come back that would be OK because I don't care as long as there is another Oddworld game!I would like to see a game were you can be a baby Gabbit and over the levels you grow up.Or a game when Abe meets Stranger but unfortunetly Stranger is not part of the quintology.

I say it would be good if munch and Abe and Stranger joined forces in a wacky adventure. (that's my style)

Meh, that would be kinda cheesy. How about if they are at first at ends with each other, since Stranger is so different from Abe and Munch that he doesn't join up with them until much later in the game when Stranger's compassion is finally tested. It could be the turning point in the game.

I doubt SligStorm will ever see the light of day, for two major reasons. Firstly, the person behind the game, Paul O'Connor is no longer an Oddworld Inhabitant. Secondly, the technology that would have been used to create SligStorm is dead.

I'd also like to iterate Xavier's comment on using the technology, or engine that they have, to very quickly pump out another Stranger game. I'd really like to see his story continue.

Yes, that is true. With the engine already produced and running fine, another game could come into consideration. And- for a sidenote- AE took 9 months. This could be the same, and hopefully, it will. Any OWI product is a good one.

even if it's only a year I'm happy... and that's what Lorne talked about.
but the fact it has been removed may meen they changed plans or realised thet one year might be to short.

Yeah if they make another stranger and use the same engine it will go by quicker, but not as quick as AE, because of course it's a lot less complicated than Stranger. But, hopefully as Xavier said it won't take near as long as the first one did.
