We don't know, it could be or it could be another Stranger game or even Hand of Odd. No-one knows for sure (except fo OWI). We'll just have to wait and see.

I'd really like they make a strategy Oddworld game, something like Age Of Empires 3 (3D view, possibility to have farms, etc.).

We only know a few things about Squeek... and the main thing is: he is going the 3rd hero of the quintology. Lorne didn't spoke about a game project for him yet

Mabey not the next oddworld game, but like Lanning planned, it should be the next Quintology game.

Well we know what could be the next OWI's game. And I heard that it would be the next game, but it was just rumour.

Or mabey a Stranger on the GBA??? That would be a suprise.

Alcar's site says that Squeek is involved in symbiosis. While possibly correct, this is not known for sure. Lorne simply said that symbiotic relationships would feature strongly in the game.

I'm guessing a Stranger's Wrath sequel will be next. The game is proving to be very popular amongst the fans, fairly mainstream, and uses a good solid engine that can be reused. All signs point to yes…

I don't think OWI will be leaping at the opportunity to lisence the Oddworld brand to another developer in a hurry. It's their decision, I believe, now that Lorne and Sherry have 100% ownership (as is my understanding).

We were talking about ODDWORLD games, not games that are related to another universe

. We all know that CS will be the first one they will make, so that when it is time to go work on the next oddwold game, the next generation consoles will be ready for the developers to create games on it. That way Lorne can make the games he wants them to be. And not like Munch Oddysee. Much Exodus will be as it should have been, sort off, I think.

Btw, I think the next oddworld game will be a Stranger's Wrath. Many people see that this is an awesome game, so don't break the formula

. Then when even more people are hooked on the Stranger game, thus on Oddworld (and don't forget, it will be released on ps3 too, won't it?, so more people get to play it). Then we can go back to Much or so, and all the peolpe who loved Stranger will be easier convinced that the next oddworld game will be good too

We all know shit, quite frankly. My feeling is that CS is a long-term plan and is just in planning now. My guess is that Stranger 2 will be next because that's what EA wants, according to rumour.

While it would be interesting to see how Munch's Exoddus would turn out, in my opinion, my guess is that since there has been more talk about a Stranger sequel than any other Oddworld upcoming games, the Stranger sequel could be the next game. But who knows?

The way I see it, Steef can easily be misread or heard to form Squeak.

If you didn't get a clear visual or sound, Steef would translate into Squeak, because the word squeak is nailed enternally into our minds. But Steef.... thats just nonsense.

So could Stranger have been "squeak"?

No, because Stranger is not (repeat, not) part of the quintology. Squeek is the third quintology hero. If/when the quintology does continue, then Squeek will still be there.

Well CS sounds like a very dark game (in imagenation) The thing that I don't like about the Sranger series is the whole western theme ,I know OWI wants too have western theme to suit Stranger.

Dose anyone think they will able to put the next game on this genaration consoles? Or will SW be the last OW game for this genaration consoles.

I totally agree about the whole western theme. I mean it DOES suit the game, and the environments are distinctly Oddworld for sure, I just really miss the beautiful vibrant colours we've seen in the past games.

Well aren't the next gen consoles due for release late 05 early 06? If they do in fact release before mid 06 then I would assume that the next Oddworld game would be releasing on the Xbox Next and whichever other consoles happen along.

Personally, I'd like to see any of the Oddworld games BESIDES the next Stranger release next from OWI.

Unfortunately I think its going to be a while until we do see a new Oddworld game if anything another quintology game. In many of the Lanning interviews I was under the impression that Lanning is waiting for the right time to go on with Oddworld. The media is just not around that would fully take on his full vision. I think a new Oddworld will come out on X-Box 2.

We need to ask Alf if there will be plans to continue Oddworld.
With the success of Stranger Lanning can now sleep at night knowing that he really did it this time and gave us something worth playing. There will be more Oddworld it just will be on another Consol.
