why does abe have four fingers in AO and thre fingers in AE?

I eally prefer the four fingered hand of Abe's Oddysee instead of the ugly three fingered hand of abe's Exoddus.

fortunately, OWI model makers seemed to improve mudokon hands in Munch's Oddysee. They look very much better than the ugly mudokon hands of AE.

I like the 3 fingers more. it´s much more odd. Perhaps why i saw the 3 finger hand before i saw the 4 fingered hand.
And you can easier form your hand to three fingers like to 4.
