I never host the parties. Even if you do host the parties, the idiots and stupid people seem to come along invited or not anyway. And everyone who wasn't stupid when they came in, will leave stupid due to being drunk.

If you don't host the parties, check who's coming beforehand. If someone arrives uninvited, the host should ask them to leave. And most of the time you won't care about other people being drunk, since you'll be drunk too. If you're not an alcoholic, make sure some others who don't drink come too. And if they don't, it obviously won't be any fun, so don't go in the first place.

I'm going to miss 2004, as well; it's probably been the best year of my life. 2005 is certainly going to be the most difficultm and 2006 will probably be worse since I'll be graduating.

On a side note, drinking in itself, isn't bad as long as a person no when he or she has had enough. On the otherhand, getting drunk for the sake of getting drunk is purely stupid, but do as you wish. Personally, I can't touch the stuff anyway because of horrible memories involving my alcoholic father.
