Actually, Congress not reading the bills it passes is quite true. I refer you to one Michael Moore. In his movie Fahrenheit 9/11, he asks a member of the House of Reps, I believe, how they could have allowed something like the Patriot Act to pass. The man told him, quite honestly, that Congress reads very little of the bills they pass. It would take so long to read through every bill, it's just not feasible with the kind of government we have.
I guess titles are quite important in those bills. If only they had named it the "Take Away Civil Liberties and Induce Mass Paranoia Act". Sigh. If only, if only.
But I still kinda doubt the article, mainly because it displays obviously bias against conservatives in the opening thingymabob, y'know, the references to Nazism. Quite true, really, but a smart liberal doesn't come right out and say it. If you say it, it gets disregarded as "liberal negativity" or something of that sort. I dunno, I'm not frickin' Spiro T. Agnew, you come up with the term.
