The Spawn series were originally a comic book series. But eventually a movie was made. Cartoon, true, but a good one.

Spawn is the returned form from some dude who died, and still had to do some... Stuff. Oh yeah, he had to go to Hel, that's why he doesn't look like an angel... He's some kind of superhero.

Spawn also makes an appearance in Soul Caliber 2 for X Box, but unfortunately, he sucks in it. And the game has the inherent flaw that exists in all fighting games, the freakish complexity of button combos necessary to do anything actually cool. So. Yeah. Spawn himself is cool though.

Spawn would kick Blade's monkey ass. Spawn Seasons 1-3> Better than anything Blade related movie-wise. Also, Spawn is kicking major booty comic wise. So, pop-culture wise Spawn ought to beat down. Also, being the leader of Malebolgia's army is so much better than being a day-walking vampire, which is really all that Blade has going for him. Even with allies Blade is toast! I defy Whistler and his ilk to stand up to Houdini or Cogliostro, not to mention the rulers and powers of Hell. Nope, not gonna happen
