The Ancient Four
This is a Fan Fic, dealing with before Marathon, after 4 and 5 (Halo and Halo 2).
The dropship hummed through space. Its metallic surface shining in the sun. The name THOR painted on the side, a series of serial numbers were below it, GCM protocall. The shuttle was circular shaped, 2 large guns, about 5ft in length, plasma drive with magnetic storage bay. Standard issue for any space craft under GCM control. 2 other crafts of the same type, CHIMIRA and ARGUS, pulled up next to it, still moving.
[C] ~1,2,3. Testing, can you guys here me?
[A] ~Loud and clear Chimira, you got reading on that object?
[T] ~ I got a few things... just that she's made of metal and ring shaped.. well except for a large terminal *crackle* at the top I'm not sure... no thats metal too, looks sort of organic.. but I'm reading lots of Adamantium... weird..
[C] ~ Al you dont no shit man! *laughing* Ok, hold on...
[T] ~ Hey shut the hell up...
[C] ~ Allright gimme... ok here it is. There no form of operational defenese. Oxygen based, looks like its cold, currently 50 Degrees farenhiet. I'm picking up lots of life signs, small and a few large, native animals most likley, looks like theres tech, so I'm thinking life? You guys got guns?
[T] ~ Last I checked we all did. S'ept you, arn't you a science vessal?
[C] ~ Yeah... I still got the cannons but I think all we have are the 9mm's. Whatever. You still have those mobile rail guns?
[T] ~ Yeah, I got'em. Argus, whats your reading?
[A] ~ Huh? Oh I got the 10mm's and the shotguns. Same with you right?
[T] ~ Yeah but I got Heavy's also, see I'm designed for that shit.
[A] ~ Hell yeah.. lets bust some heads!
The com channel filled with yells and then they all closed off. The ships moved twords the artifical Atmosphere. The ships screamed as they pierced it. They came in low, the ground was covered in frost, small animals that looked like rabbits ran as the ship came in. They finaly touched down and began setting up a small camp. They found no intelligent life so far, but still strange animals. This was only the begining. The Marines would arive soon. And then they'd look.

Intro into this. Its all Marathon based and such. It happens out of the main story lines for Halo and Marathon.
