AE on XP

Does anybody know how to play AE on a pc with window XP.
I always get the message: Abe's Exoddus doesn't run on NT technologie'

No problems with AO, which is older

Go to PC, and find that game. They may have an FAQ on your problems with NT.

nope, they offer no solution

I just saw there was a thread about this in the help forum some time ago. Did it offer a solution for anyone. It does not for me. I have official AE that worked fine on my old pc with win 95 (en later win98). My new pc with win XP home edition won't work.

I don't even know how you can install both, so you can choose. (normally XP, and if you want to play AE , swich to win9x)

Mine works and I have illegal Ae... in Xp... but I have professional...

Yeah I heard about AE not working on Xps. There isnt a solution I dont think. Bummer. Still, I cant laugh. I dont have an X-Box for MO!

There is no solution for Europeans I believe, which really annoys me.

Maybe I've got a solution. If I install the game, but replace the exe file with one of you, it might work. Can somebody upload or mail me the "exoddus.exe" file please?

My LEAGAL AE works on XPhome.

What's up with that?!

I think you need a budget version (mine's a "replay" re-release) for it to work on XP.

YIHAAA !!!

Don't ask me how I did it, but I found a solution for all people having trouble playing AE on XP. Go to my site (click signature) and to the download section. You'll find a file to download and instructions.

I readed it... and yes I have this errors too, in my Ae... so this is the thing why my Ae works on Xp? And I have a patch to fix this errors, but this patch is hungarian...

Yesterday I was playing, and suddenly the sound problems were gone, and everything sounded back ok, even the background music game back. Today it's all messed up again. You have a patch for this? Please can you put it on the web, mail it, or msn-messenger it to me?

Well, ok but this patch is hungarian, so makes the signs (the green electronic... or sg...) and the ingame menu hungarian...

there is the hun patch, extract the zips, then extract the rar, to the Ae folder...

Thanx for going through all the trouble, .... and now know what .... , after a little surfing I found a crack file , which allows me to play my original game on XP, with all sounds right.

It's uploaded on my site.

I think I'm gonne use your files anyway (install the game in Hungarian too, just for fun)

Well I've got windows XP and Abe's Exoddus and I don't get the message.

You can try going in the folder where you installed AE and right-click on exoddus.exe then scroll down to "properties" and click it. That opens another window. you should see "compatibility" on the upper right corner of the window. Click it and select Windows 98/ME from the list and click OK. the game should work after that
