This really is an awesome thread.
Discworld, Magic: the Gathering, Tetris, and vicariously Russians are all just plain friggin' awesome. I love the portrayal of Death in the Discworld series. MTG is just the best trading card game out there. End of story. It's pretty much the original, and it is still and always will be the best. Tetris is perhaps one of the most addictive video games I have ever played, and its music is even more addictive. I consider the Tetris theme to be almost on a par with Halo music, but it's kind of a different ball game. Halo music is real orchestral music, after all. And that Russian dude who invented Tetris is awesome too. Isn't he an extremely brilliant mathematician?
BTW, the Tetris theme has been rehashed into an awesome techno song, predictably titled "Tetris". The musical group is Aphex Twin. Also, I recommend the short musical clip for the Halo 2 trailer. I forget who the conductor is, but the music is really awesome. It's about two and a half minutes long, I believe, and is done by this incredible orchestra and choir, and they've got these great string sounds and those vocals that are just like, "Wow, are those people singing?!" and it's really exciting and kind of haunting and you've gotta check it out. You can see the trailer on
www.xbox.com. Just go to the games section, go to Halo 2, and there should be a list of trailers.
