Should I remake my site?

I was looking at my site (which I cant edit atm because of a firewall) and I just realised how bad it is. Its not very well layed out, and because I couldnt copy and paste the immaculately worded profiles that I wrote for the inhabitants (

) and I had to re-type them, its seems I've made LOADS of typos. Do you think I should remake my site (follow link in sig. to check it out).

I want my site to be quality...and real flashy and stuff...

It looks fine to me it definately does not need changing it was quite impressive 1st time i saw it!

Yes, you should have more colour and images, but still stick to the Necrum theme. Necrum colours would be orange, red, yellow, and brown, you should have blue to bring out the other colours aswell. One thing that isn't always good for a site is flash animation, like fades and such, it looks cool but will make the site slow, especially with updates. So add the graphics minus the flash equels a nice site.

Biggest recommendation I can make: Don't make it with geocities. It's a horrible provider.

Go with http://www.brinkster.com
It's free and doesn't put ads on your page.

Is it? Cool! I've been looking for a free provider. Does it allow you to copy and paste stuff? I got lotsa text and I dont want to have to retype it all...

Yeah, copy and paste is allowed... didn't know it wasn't on Geocities..
You also get around 20 mb of space at Brinkster.. I think... I haven't used it in months, since I started using PHP on my websites.

I gunna try to make my first site, oddworld that is. It's to gunna be orange in most places, i do like orange, yes.

I constantly struggle with whether I should re-design Oddworld-Web or not. Sometimes I look at it and think it needs a change as it has been years now, but then I also look at how unique and successful the design has been and don't want to let it go. Although I have so much other stuff to do first like updating the content, that I have a lot of time to think it over.

Damn you all, The Oddworld Encyclopaedia has a warm orange/yellow theme. I have tried other colours, but they just don't work that well. Not even the purple that Oddworld Online manages so well. I'm just not the website designer I wish I could be. Oh well.

To answer your question, drakan, if you feel you can update, and you want to, and it doesn't interfere with anything important in life, like school or friends or family, then you can go for it all you want. I constantly find myself with no free time to get any TOE-related work done. My website is older than the Forums, hahaha!

Brinkster is free: they allow 30MB of space, but they're now pushing ads on the pages of those that have free accounts. Just look at my FAQs: the layout is ruined by those long ads. *disgruntled*

I only go on big sites, since I don't have much to learn from small sites
try to make something specific, don't do something that has been done over and over again

no seriously, brinkster is not free. I looked at every package, and the cheapest is $0.99, and thats money I just dont have!

...mainly because I live in England and use £ not $...anyway; There arent any free packages...looks like I'll just take up my satchel and leave in search of free web space...

btw: xav, you should check out some of the smaller sites, I found stuff that wasnt on the big ones tucked away on the small ones. Anyways, I want mine to become a big one...may take alotta time though...

I like your site! I like the colour combos you've used. The flash does slow it down a fair bit, but I really do like the effect. Good work!

I have a good coluor, since Max wants his site, and it's Orange/yellow i'm makeing mine gold! Oh but the the main headline will be orange. My first ever web site, i hope i get it to work.

Drakan90, do you have like a Photoshoptype programs, coz you can make some nice borders and such.
