I think this topic has been done to death, but I can't see any similar one having been created in the immediate past, so I'll let it past. I prefer Abe's Oddysee, for many reasons. I love the darkness, I love the spirituality, I love the ambience and the story. Back then Glukkons were dark and forboding, Mudokons were completely peaceful and spiritual, and the comedy was almost totally dark humour. Above and beyond it all, it was the game I loved so much that it drew me to the Oddworld series. I'm not sure Abe's Exoddus would have done that, but it might have. I seriously doubt Munch's Oddysee would have done.

That, without going into more specific details, is why.

Oddworld:Munch's Oddysee is the best.I think that because there are more creatures in it than the other Oddworld games.Especally controlling the Big Bro Sligs and Vykkers was really fun.But the thing in Oddworld:Munch's Oddysee that REALLY ticked me off was that there were dead Elum laying on tables on the last level.I was ticked!

Munch's Oddysee is the best game coz of the storyline(alot better then AO and AE) and also that it is a 3D game.

But i recon the two Abe games would be the best game coz i dont (sorta) like the next game that is coming out, but i might still want to get it to see how it is

Abes Oddysee since it introduces the world of oddworld and that is the one that started the entire series. And the paramonian and Scrabanian worlds are very cool.

My favourite game is AE. QuickSave, lots-o-levels and Mudokons, and the Glukkons! The Glukkons! They have their own personality, you can find out a lot about them. And the endings are cool too.

I remember the times when I was new here. My first topic was "What is your favourite character from Oddworld and why?". Remember that one? I'm sure there were topics like that before me.

I like the quicksaving ability in AE, being able to address more than one mudokon at a time and muds with emotions, but I prefer the environments in AO. And Elum rocks!

I like AE coz it's not to hard, and not to easy, it's fun to play. I also like the cut-scenes, there fun to watch, just like other OW games. Ahhh... the memories

I'd have to say MO just for the environments alone. Just beautiful. My second choice would be AE.

No, i competely disagree that 3D brings the odd out, it makes the oddworld a more complex world, and a lot more possiblyties can be made. I lke the 2D games coz it has amazing backgrounds and great odd objects, but i'm sure one day we will able to see the all in 3D.

My personal fav. is AE. Not only do u get to posses more of the characters, but it's longer, u can quick save and the houmor is a lot better than the last. Plus, a lot of the characters have more to say than just Abe giving a voice over to whats going on on screen, which was kinda boring, and it lets u know what the characters r really like (e.g. knowing that Dripik is a bit stupid).

Given I don't got's no MO...
So I love the first two... They're difficult, they're funny, and I beat em both... but I can only get the Good ending on AE... my AO scrubs keep gettin killed by animals and sligs...

I like AE for the fact it has quicksave, that was a really good idea. Sometimes AO got kind of fustrating. In AE you can possess more than just sligs. You can alert more muds at once and I think that made the game alot better because it was easier to do, but was still a challenge. !If that makes sense!

Abe's Exoddus always remains my favorite as it was the game that introduced me to the series. Also, I enjoy games that are long and have lots of places to explore. I found that Abe's Exoddus had more exploration than Oddysee ... thus one of the reasons I loved it. I also loved the native style of Necrum and the industrial style of FeeCo Depot.

Although quicksave is a bonus, I must admitt that it is a lot more challenging in Abe's Oddysee to have to complete an area without being killed.

Abe Babe...

Fav Oddworld Game

I know there has been topic's like this one but what is your fav oddworld game.

1. abe's exoddus (its the longest one, not frustrating like abe's oddysee, I just like it over the others)
2. abe's oddysee (wonderfull wonderfull backround's scrabana is my fav the pink red backround is very nice, more wilderness,)
3. munch's oddysee (didin't like it very much, big letdown when they changed thing, to easy, boring backround, one of the good things is the ending, I did like this game but not a lot)

Edit by Abe Babe. There was already a "current" favorites thread, but it was Poorly named "Abe's Exoddus", so I have merged the two threads and changed the title.

I like AE the best because it was the game that started Quicksave, and you could talk to more that one mudokon at a time...with emotions mind you.
But...I liked the outdoor environments in AO better, and Elum was awesome.

So...AO/AE is tied at 1st, and MO is 2nd.

MO Is no challenge i enjoyed it for the new stuff and all the cool gadgets you can use but abes oddysee is my fav for the humour and the hardness of it. But overall ODDWORLD is all good mainly for humour challenge and the new ideas that come around each game in the upcoming game they should include every good thing from all previous games to make one excellent game.
