You'll notice that the image Oddish found is no longer on the Forums. It seems there's a reason it was removed that CGTalk, and by recovering it and showing it around like a freshly killed prize, we've bumped into a couple of legal doo-hickeys. OWI asked us to remove it, so diligently we have.

Well it had the scrabs and paramite's on the background. That a pic we all know. Abe on the forground with his Oddworld neckless with his arms crossed, I think we also know that image.

All in all I don't think this poster was officialy oddworlds, since they just merged in a lot of diffrent pix into a poster. .

As for the new image depicting the statue, it looks rather Mudokon-esque, but has a huge crest on top of its head, and spider-like legs (that Xav and I think are used to hit the bells on the side of the creature). Interesting indeed!

Going back to talk about this pic, Is it just me or are the 'spider legs' actually a part of the bell thing - handles that control it. If you look, there are three bells on the side facing us and three handles either side of it. I'm not sure what that creature could be. The head does look a bit insectish. I wonder if it is something alive or just a huge statue.

I'm so glad they have decided to do this, I've been trying to find concept art all over the net, but hardly came up with anything. I can't wait to see all the old artwork they have not released and the new stuff as well.

I'm guessing, and hoping at the same time that each image is presented beautifully, with information about the image, the date it was created, the creator, and anything else interesting or relevant The book would SO rock! But, like I mentioned, that stuff is probably going to be included, so yay!

What im realy hoping for, exept for the pics, is some never released info on the game's story's. Both of the game's we already know and played, as one's of yet to come.

Im pretty sure Abe's oddysee had gone trough a big serie's of storyline's before they eventualy cam up with the shrykull thing, and the entire cutting up worker thingy. And maybe Abe wasnt called Abe in the beginning of the procces . And... maybe... just maybe we will see some screenshots from movie storyboards that never where used. Those will undoubtly be there!

Man... august and september are certainly some exiting months!!

Maybe a shot of this ellusive meteor strike that created the Mudokon paw print on Abe's Moon. But yes, pictures of material that never made it into the games could only expand our understanding of Oddworld, which is something I know we're all fascinated by.

I also specifically wonder if there'll be the Mudokon skeleton in there that seems quite sought after. I have it in a magazine, but it's terribly small.

Most likely the information about the pictures will be:
1.Title of the piece
2. Name of the client
3. Name of art director
4. Size of the original
5. And what medium it was done in like: Acrylic, Oil, Water Color, Digital, etc etc. And a little bit of info regarding on how the artist went about doing the piece.

Thats to say if they do this book like Spectrum or any other art book out there. The one thing about art books that differs from other books is that its more or less a picture book. But there is the acception.

No, Havoc, I meant the FMV of meteors striking the moon that was excluded from the opening movie of Abe's Exoddus. The Mudokon skeleton is a proper blueprint. That skeleton isn't really a proper one, as you can see the ponytail.

It should be set up like the "art of LOTR" books. Almost each pice of art had a comment from the artist. It's sooo cool.
