"Why do you have to quote others when you can quote yourself?" (Quote by me)
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God.
You see things, and you say 'why'. But i dream things that never were and i say 'why not'.

I was just swearing in my head over the fact that she based it on the movie and not the book (no scouring of the Shire!) when she gave that final disclaimer.

See she's got too much talent to be a professional writer. You need to be crap so it takes 1000 pages to get your point across

It reminds me of that Dilbert cartoon where Dogbert writes a self help book but unfortunately he manages to get his whole point across in one sentence: "People are stupid" so after that he just gives up.

I was gonna give a really witty reply to this statement that would prove you wrong.
Then I realised that I couldn't, but not because you're right.
What I'm saying is that you don't read enough. Sure, you can look through some 1008 odd pages, but the words must have been stored somewhere between your eyes and your brain, so that while the're there you can recall them but not contemplate them. There are many people who call themselves readers who do just that.
The movie itself was quite funny, but I wouldn't go to bed and read it for an hour or so. That's all I'm trying to say.

When Josh first showed me it, I couldn't get over the extreme bluntness in the animated GIF. I'd say it comes close to the real thing

Actually I loved the book and the movies. Only problem is that sarcasm is very hard to get across using a keyboard.

Oh and I had a bad experience reading Les Miserables (1200 pages) - Victor Hugo got paid by the page so he put in a lot of padding.

eg The first 70 pages describe the personality of a character that takes up only 5 pages in the rest of the book (if you've seen the show, I mean the priest who forgives Valjean for stealing his silver).

And at least half of the rest of the book is semi-philosophical waffle. Very painful to get through. It took me seven months to finish it. I would read a chapter, get to the next boring bit, put it down for two week, build up the strength to forge through the waffle, get to the next good chapter, read it, get to the next boring bit, put it down etc etc etc

Exsqueezeme? If you are going to criticize me, it would be nice if you were specific so I could deal. What you have done is really just spam.

That was boring. No sound. No vocals. No music. Terrible animation (what little there was) and her comedic skills suck every brand of eggs.

I think the animation was suppose to be terrible on purpose. Like a child's drawing. It was giving a sense on how simple the plot was without all the glamour and 10+ hours of film.

That is interesting. Nads probably was talking about the movie, but Nate got offended because it was posted after his reply. I sense an insecure nature that causes Nate to think everyone is out to get him.
