I read/skimmed through the review, as I needed to do a news report and didn't want to read too many in the way of spoilers.

Overall the review is average. But I seemed to find one thing from what I read that the reviewer gave as a negative side.

He didn't seem to like the fact that you have to explore more to find the solution to a puzzle and that some of the puzzles take longer to solve as you have to think more.

Example: "The solutions to the puzzles are often less straightforward than before, too. Instead of a lightbulb going off in your head when you suddenly realize what you need to do (as would happen in the first two games), sometimes you'll have to fumble around the environments until it eventually becomes clear."

IMO, I like to "look" around in the environments for some solution or something. I treat all games that way... I try to go every possible place.

The other negative point they seemed to have was about repetitivity. Although I guess each review is to it's own, and as we have seen from sites like Team Xbox, Munch has had good reviews.

Abe Babe...

Oh give me a break. Finding a solution to a puzzle is the fun part! If he were to just rush through the game because there was no complexity to any of the puzzles, what would he think then? I'll tell you what I would think: BORING! Then he'd be complaining that it was too easy. Remember, this is a "Virtual Environment" more than a videogame. For example: If you were in that situation, would it be more real if you didn't have to use your head? Kind of like a maze that's just a straight hallway.

A 79% from them is a 89% anywhere else.

But after reading the review it is very apparent that the reviewer is not a real Oddworld fan. Just a casual onlooker, that has not got the true love for the series. The review to me is actually invalid due to this reason. Camera's seemed to be the big issue of negativity with the reviewer, no issue with me in my short spin with the game. I mean not at all.

The other complaint was about puzzles. I am with Abe babe in the go everywhere and explore every nook and crannie philosophy. I want to go to many locations and piece my puzzles together, I want this complexity. I can do without the find a key and open the door puzzles as it appears this reviewer is all about.

Overall the game will be for all true lovers of the first two games what we would hope for in this new 3D incarnation.

I just loved my half hour with Munch. And this Wednesday night I will dig deep into it when my Brother gets back into town,(promised to play with him only then, toughest thing imaginable to hold off on playing when it's right there waiting for you, but almost there) and will step back into the "MYSTICAL AND ODD world of Oddworld then.
