Stranger... what do we know so far?

Hello Everyone...

I've been searching and digging around for info about Stranger... well basically about the whole concept for OW4 and I can't seem to find any threads on it :P

I read the transcript of the Polygon article and it didnt really say anything about OW4 either...

So, I was wondering if anyone could post their theories and/or confirmed info...?

We know two species names...Steef and Clakkerz.
We know OW4 is an exploring game with the FPS element.
We also know that Stranger is using live ammo..skunks, spiders, etc...for his crossbow.
Stranger has a nifty boat.
Stranger has two forms...one is a disguise.
I believe someone from OWI said that in Stranger there's a lot of interaction with the environment.

Somebody help me.

Oh, and also that Stranger is fighting an internal battle of some sort.

So there's another rumour. I'd be enjoyable to watch Stranger progress through the game like that. It adds a sense of time.

We also know that this game is suspposed to revolutionize the way you play a game when it comes to story terms. Your suspposed to feel like your controlling a movie is the jyst of it.

And as said before in this game you're suspposed to use the enviorment to your advantage.

I'm sure you could capture it, or maybe buy it from a market or something, or receive it as payment for hunting a bounty.

Alf used them comically, so I thought they were just another piss-take of some fans' aversion to certain... aspects that have cropped up in Oddworld. But who knows, maybe he was slipping us some info.

chances are you have to set traps for them with bait, other live ammo etc etc. A-wrap-nids could possibly be larve forms of paramite.

Evidence of my theory is the fact that Stranger is being hunted by the Grub Hunters and poachers. Why? Maybe because of his horns and a steef's horns are a most prized item to the hunters. The Hunters and poachers are industrial bounty hunters and Steef is natural. Which once again is another way on how the industrial world is hurting the natural world for profit. If you ask me this next game remindes me of how elephant poachers go after elephants for their tusks for a bounty or profit.

I believe its a similar fashion in Stranger. Stranger is the elephant and well the Grub Hunters are the poachers. Stranger is inteligant but uses the natural world around him to hunt his bounty for food or something. Thus useing the enviroment. And the grub Hunters use industrial means to hunt down their bounty for well moolah. And where would this Moolah go to? Possably a different member in the octigi family like that one Octigi with arms we saw in that early concept. I have this feeling we might see those to be like the next breed of glukkon in this game. But its only a theory.

I think we know more about OW4...
Max is working on a full list of what we know.

Yeah, I remember that theory being said a while back. It was after X-Factor when Lorne said Stranger HAD to have horns. Well, knowing OWI deals with environmental political issues...

Horns+environmental political issues=poaching

I had to edit my last post in Niteowl's Loading Screen topic because of the new anti-double posting what-not, so some one'll be kind enough to bump it up if you have anything decent to say, won't you. Read it yet?

With the horns, I feel they may be Steef's, in which case perhaps the 'moral' of this new game is to do with hunting, which I'm surprised nobody mentioned before. Perhaps they did and I was busy looking in the other direction. It's the horns that reminded me of this. Plus, we have the 'Grub' the hunter...or as SligSlinger thinks he hears, the poacher, which makes the whole hunting/poaching thing even more strongly defended.

Oh God... so petty, I know. Forgive me, please.
