Unit 21

This is a story that Loup and myself will be writing together. Hes put up the first chapter.

The courtroom was huge and semi circled as the hundreds of glukkons entered it. The vykker were already there, they sat quietly and some of them didn’t even looked at the small mob of glukkons. Hundreds of seats were empty but it seemed as if it kept coming people. The courtroom reminds of the theatre Colosseum. The only difference was that there were two large monitors above two gentle hovering platforms, which attracted many eyes in the courtroom. Above the huge monitors hung two paintings. The left painting was the prime minister of the largest glukkon empire his name was Azuuk. He was dressed in a dark blue suit and medals covered the left side of his chest. On the painting he looked majestic and respectful on the way he looked at you. It was one of those paintings when you get a bit frightened when you looked at them. He was old, very old. His cold and threatening eyes was the only thing, which could draw your glance off his too large leather mask that he wore. The right painting was at he prime minister of the smaller vykker empire, named Gask. He looked respectful too, but not that majestic as the glukkon prime minister did. Maybe it was because of his skinny body and his older appearance. He had a few medals that covered the right side of his chest, but not as many as the glukkon.

There were not any happy faces in the courtroom, the glukkons were whispering to each other and peeked at the vykkers with a lot of hatred in their eyes. And the vykkers just ignored it, by turning their heads and seemed a bit angry. The courtroom was filled with small hums and whispers and it seemed that no-one dared to talk in a normal tone, for some reason. The the hums and whispers were broken by a louder repeated sound. As if something huge and mechanical entered the room. And from each side of the courtroom came two big brother sligs, that walked towards the hovering platforms and when they reached it, they stopped. And all sligs turned to the same direction and faced the audience, and then took a few steppes backwards and then stopped again. The tall creatures stood proudly on to seven foot far on their three-toed mechanical legs. They held large guns that reminded more of a shotgun with a flashlight, which was glued on the top of the pipe, then a Hellblazer. A few seconds after the sligs entrance came the two prime ministers, along with two bodyguards. It was a moment of silence, before Azuuk, began to say:
- “Let’s celebrate the deaths of our beloved comrades with a short moment of silence.” And everyone in the courtroom lowered their heads, except for the sligs. The moment of silence could have been silence, if the air-condition wasn’t on. It hummed in a way the sounded more like a bumblebee. After a short moment of silence, Azuuk raised his head and said:
- “We all mourn for the lost of our dear sisters and brother, who was on the research vessel that crashed in the Xarii jungle a few days ago.”
The large monitors began to show the faces of the prime ministers that stood upon the hovering platforms. “And as we all know” Azuuk continued, “the Xarii jungle lies in the vykker’s empire, doesn’t it?” He turned and looked at Gask.
- “Yes it does, and we did received the emergency call, but once our rescue team got there, they faced this” Said Gask and picked up a small remote controller and the monitors showed the burning vessel and a huge area of the jungle. “Nothing could have survived that crash, the plane left a huge crate and a huge area of ashes of once was the jungle.” His voice was dry and was almost like if someone scratched himself with a microphone. A vykker in the audience raised his hand and said:
- “What was the cause to the vessel’s crash?”
Gask scratched his dry old skin and said:
- “We have not yet identified the vessel’s crash, but we are guessing, that it could have been malfunctioning.” Another vykker raised his hand:
- “Could it be a sabotage?”
Everyone in the courtroom was shocked. It could have been true. Maybe it was sabotage, but at the same time, it cant. Prime minister Gask opened his mouth in order to say anything, but nothing but empty word came from there. He really tried to say anything, but his words wouldn’t come out from his mouth. But Azuuk interrupted Gask by saying:
- “Sabotage?”
- “There is no proof of that.” Gask said increasingly in tone. “It could also have been a malfunctioning.”
Azuuk was angered, he cried out:
- “Yes, a malfunctioning by the effects of sabotage.” Gask turned to Azuuk and glared angrily on him. As if he tried to say in some silent language ‘Are you born stupid?’ Gask then said:
- “Why would someone sacrifice his life for such silly act? Why would someone sneak into the research vessel, destroy it and then die? And how could saboteur escape the falling vessel? ”
Azuuk turned his head and neck backwards, like when someone say ‘What the..?’. But Azuuk still had the same face as on the painting. He thought for himself for a while and said:
- “With all do respect, but who led your so called “Rescue Operation?”
Gask scratched himself on the head with his finger and thought for a while.
- “I think it was general Weadink.” He said and looked at Azuuk. “Why wonder?”
- “I want to have a conversation with immediately.”
Gask bitted his lip and scratched at his head.
- “May general Weadink step forward please.”
From a cushioned seat in front of the prime ministers, stood and old, but not too skinny vykker. He was dressed in a black uniform, decorated with only one golden star on the right side of his chest. He also wore a hat, and a long ponytail ran down his back, and he had a nasty scar that covered his left cheek. He walked toward a small square, which shone in a red shade. It sounded like a horse that was walking on the cold, marble floor. He stepped up on the square. And said with a dry voice:
- “Yes!”
His voice echoed in the courtroom. Azuuk looked at the “creature” before him and said:
- “What did your men first saw at the moment they arrived at the crash site?”
- “Nothing more but ashes, fire and smoke, sir.”
- “Did your men find anything inside the vessel? Did your men find any cargo?”
Weadink thought for a second without to turn his head away from the prime minister.
- “We thought that there was no meaning to search for any survivors or valuable cargo inside the vessel. The smoke was thick, black and poisonous, therefore we cancelled the search.”
- “But you do have the equipment to search in such events like that, don’t you?” Azuuk yelled.
Weadink didn’t seem to move any muscle on his face, but calmed he answered:
- “Yes we do, but not in the aircrafts that flew over the vessel first. Those aircrafts were just scouts, that reports what necessary tools the rescue team might use in the situation.”
Azuuk was outrageous, but calmed himself when saw the vykkers in the audience. They were smiling and some of them looked at Azuuk, hoping that he might loose his temper. And therefore, loosing his reputation as a calmed minister.
- “Very well” said Azuuk, so calmed that he almost whispered. “It doesn’t matter what the condition of the vessel is, I want my vessel back for further investigations.”
Gask turned his head to Azuuk quickly and said:
- “I’m afraid you can’t do that. Though by the law, you cannot claim anything, which is on our grounds. And that law affects even you.”
- “You can’t do that. We have never done anything like that to you ever.” Azuuk said and looked angrily on Gask.
- “You want you ship back don’t you? What cargo did the ship contained that is so useful to you, or is it just the ship itself you want?” He paused and waited for an answer, and then he continued. “We can come to an agreement, you can have your vessel if you give us our city that lies behind your borders.”
- “That city has belonged to my land for centuries. Why do you want the city so bad? Is it because of the millions of vykkers who lives there? The city has belonged to my forefathers once, and it shall belong to us as long as we exists.”
Gask scratched his head again
- “Then I’m afraid you cannot have your vessel back.”
- “We will have our vessel back, with or without force.”
All in the courtroom gasped, even Weadink, who doesn’t seemed to be the man who get surprised that easily. Gask gasped and said:
- “What are you saying? You can’t do that, it’s against the law!”
- “I’ll say, that if my men spots any vykker near the crash site, they will take them down.”
Gask’s face was angered.
- “If you do that insulting act, then there will be an open war, and thousands of civilians will die because of your childish act.”
- “I’m not saying that I want an open war. I’m saying that I want my ship back, and if your troops are preventing me of taking that ship. Then they shall pay with their lives.”
Azuuk turned and walked to the exit with three Big B sligs that followed him, while walking he said:
- “Don’t stand in my way!”
A roar sounded in the courtroom when he walked out from it.

Far away from the courtroom lies a city. In that city there is a doctor. He was sitting alone in his office, with only his lamp as light. He was looking at something very small, and here and then he hmmmed for himself. But a tapping on the door disturbed him. He looked at the door and said:
- “It’s open.”
And into his office stepped Gask, and Gask saw the doctor who’s eyes seemed bigger then usual when he wore those ‘platesized’ glasses. Gask closed the door and went to the doctor. And looked at the briefcase while scratching his hand.
- “Have you found anything?”
- “Yes, sir.” Said the doctor and took a small green box in front of him and another smaller square item.
Gask looked at them for a moment.
- “Is this all?”
- “Yes, erm..no. Well, not directly.”
Gask looked at the doctor.
- “There was a lot of paper describing what these two things are, and a picture of a nude female glukkon.” Said the doctor and showed the picture to Gask. The nude female glukkon was in a certain pose that disgusted Gask. It’s skin was like Azuuk’s skin, but only an a female, nude glukkon that revealed everything. Gask got the creeps, and shook, he have just seen Azuuk’s wife, naked.
- “Hrrrr! Very well, what are those two…” Gask looked at the doctor, he was still holding the picture to him. “Please, take it away from me, that THING is giving me more reasons to commit suicide.” The doctor put the picture on his desk. Gask closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
- “What are those two things on the table?”
- “These items?” Said the doctor and pointed at the small green box, and the smaller square item.
Gask sighed and looked at and certain point on the wall.
- “Yes, those two!”
The doctor cleared his throat and said
- “It’s DNA and a chip, sir!”
They were looking at each other, and none said a word. The doctor scratched his head and cleared his throat again. They didn’t do anything until Gask sighed once more and made a gesture to the doctor to proceed.
- “Oh, well it’s a DNA of a mudukon, sir. And a brain chip.”
To say of the reaction to Gask’s face, that wasn’t the answer he was hoping for.
- “Yeah, I’ve got it but…” Gask made a gesture to the doctor to proceed.
- “Oh..you wanna full report eh?”
- “Yes!”
The doctor cleared his throat:
- “Well, I don’t know what it is really. But I know that the chip is a brain chip. This chip contains the information of weapons and different kinds of warfare.”
Gask turned to the door and was about to leave.
- “Well, once you found out what that chip contains, call me.”
Gask walked out of the room and closed the door. The doctor sat alone and cleared his throat again like some other frog and picked up the picture. And he looked at the female creature on it, nodded his head a couple of times and then he put the picture in his pocket.
- “I guess he won’t be need’n this for a while.” The doctor said and returned to his duties.

Vykkers scuttled about the lab. Checking Vitals and typing up notes. In the centre of the lab there was a large green tube. Inside, was a mudoken, floating, asleep. Gask walked up to the screen and rapped on the side. The mudoken didnt move. It had tubes stickng out of its body going to verious machines. He walked around to the back of the tube, and pressed a button. The green fluid in the tube began to fliter out, and the bottom of the tube raised so that the mudoken could stand. It took about 5 minutes for the clear green fluid to drain. Gask stood, with his hands behind his back, watching as two sligs came over and disconnected all the tubes in his body. Different coloured fluids came out of the tubes as they were pulled. The two sligs picked up the limp body of the mudoken and lied it down on a table. Vykkers suddenly stopped what they were donig to crowd around the tabel and watch Gask. He had the slings turn the body over, so he had acess to the back of the head. They did so quickly. Gask leaned over the back of the mudokens head, he reached into his pocket. He pulled out the chip, it had been scanned, it had all the infomation on how to use every weapon, Glukkon or Native made in the last hundred years. It had hundreds of tactical and stealth skills on it. It had various martial arts skills on it also.

On the back of the Mudokens head there was a small metallic port. Gask pushed a button on the port, and it opened, revealing the mudokens brain, partially covered in mechanical parts. There was a slot in the brain, he put the chip into it. Closing the post bac up he took a step back. Smiling. the two Sligs went back to pick the body up. It sat up, grabbing a slig by the throat, and throwing it across the room. The other slig, stabbed at the mudoken with his stun rod, burning a small hole in its chest. The slig watched in amazement as the burn healed. The mud reached out, pulling the vocal chords out of the sligs neck.

Gask clapped his hands. "Well done...Well dont indeed" he said, the other Vykkers had run out of the room. The mud looked at him, and stood up. Gask pushed a button on a control on his wrist. Suddenly the mud fell to his knees, clutching his head and banging it on the floor.
