go download the wmv file from that link......they guy beats it in under 11 minutes! he uses those whistle warps, granted, but damn! this is insane!

WTF? I don't have time to check that right now, but that just seems impossible. I mean what, the earliest whistle is at the first fortress, and each regular level is going to take at least what, 30 seconds? And then the auto scrolling tank/ship/etc... levels at the end take a freaking long time to complete each, and you couldn't get enough clouds to pass over them without completing a significant amount of hammer bros/castles/fortresses. Jeebus, if thats true, I'm impressed.

At first I thought you were talking about the first ever Mario Brothers, and I Was thinking that game goes on forever. Either way perhaps I should take a look at this video.

Thats absolutly rediculous it takes almost all day to beat Mario 3. I sense this is all bogas!

If you want to beat it legitimately, or at least mostly legitimately...

Or, if you happen to be like me/my brother, the game was a bain upon unfinished video games for many years. My brother had first played it when he was little, with my cousins SNES. It took up until a few years ago for the ocmmitment to beat it to kick in.

Now the wickedist game ever, Super Mario Brothers The Lost Levels (SMB 2 in Japan) is just plain evil. You get up to the difficulty of the last SMB world by world 2 or 3 in this. There's got to be something up when a game isn't released in the US because its too hard, and is replaced by a shitty Japanese game with replaced sprites.

The only way it could be beaten in that amount of time would have to be glitches. I'm really not willing to wait for download and watch an 11 minute video.

oddguy, i have watched the movie, after viewing it, i concluded there were no glitches, this guy was good, he new all the secrets and moves and didn't die even once. He didn't play the whole game, he used thehidden warp keys to warp to every 5 other levels.

I saw that once before ... but the link died. It was really amazing how he could actually jump so well on those cannonballs and that in the ship levels. Although I'm guesing that he practiced a lot in order to get the timing right of everything. And how quick did he defeat Bowser ... makes him seem like he isn't even a boss.

I have seen this a wee while ago and tell you it is not fake. There are no glitches exploited, this guy just has no life and seems to play this every minute of the day.
It's insane when he gets all those 1UPs, eh?

I have played it all the way through and those things that you get which let you skip a level, there is NO WAY! that someone could get enough of them to complete the game in 11 minutes. I suspect a little bit of hacking or cheats going on here, that person should get a masamune (samuri sword) shoved up their arse.
