These New Forums

Suck. Now, today is the first time I've been able to post since the first post I made when I discovered the new forums. You know why? Because they're crap. I'm going to need a list of things that the update is actually good for, because I can't see any.
It made me a non-registered user because I changed my email address.
And then to laugh in my face even more, I wasn't even able to access the damn things for a week.
On top of that, this post new message screen has the ugliest colour I have ever seen, and it doesn't fit with anything.
Please, help me enjoy these forums again.

I'll take blame for you not being able to post. Well kind of anyways. I assumed we didn't have the approval system enabled in vB3 ... as there was nothing getting listed on the front page of our admin CP. It wasn't until someone asked me about something, I found a crapload of registrations that needed to be approved. Although you should have been able to post 2 days ago, as I fixed it as soon as Majic asked me to.

As for the industrial and native layouts ... I'm getting to it. These ones were quick to impliment, so we went with them. Where I work has just given me a deadline of the end of this month to finish the site I have been working on for the past 6 months ... so this means I have to devote more time to my real job as opposed to the sites I run.

About the Forums not being able to load: this is a story I've heard from a handful of people, notably Majic and Xavier. I've no idea why that should be. On several occassions, the Forums have just cut out altogether, and I've been able to confirm with other members via MSN that they weren't working in those periods.

I can't see what you're talking about with the ugly colour syndrome. Screenshot?

I personally am running faster on the forums than I ever did before the switch, but it does appear there are a few people who have some kind of common error perhaps caused by their Internet Provider? I dunno. Anyways I also noticed the other style of the forums we can choose from now, its nice but I'll leave this on until the industrial comes back.

The rest of the scheme is fine, but this box window thing is horrible! I don't even know what colour it is!

Ooh that does look bad. I use the other template, and it looks fine. Perhaps Abe Babe should revisit that bit when she has the time. Or if it can't be changed for each individual template, change to the Honeycomb theme.

I can confirm, and does realy piss me off... cause I'm not on the forums as often as I wish to be and I miss lots of things.

Unless you're going to be using quotes, just use the little quick reply box at the bottom. Not nearly as annoying.

Yeah I really am liking the quick reply box. Its so much easier to look back at whats in the discussion, and thread in its full form.
