Yikes! My Bad. I was talking about Steef, the hero-to-be (maybe). I guess i was thinking too much about Squeek and Steef and my over-creative mind invented a new (but useless) character.

This is kinda irrelevant, but, where can i see the x-factor video? Does anyone know of a working link? The only ones I can find are dead, and I don't fancy going through all the posts to find one that works. Please help, I NEED TO SEE THIS VIDEO!

will this game be in 3rd person like the others? And i've got to say i'm abit dissapointed, those chicken and newt things just dont fit in with the game and they've sort of...ruined it.

For the most part, I think it'll still be 3rd person, but also when the Steef uses his crossbow we'll have First Person Shooter view - I'm not sure whether that'll work for Oddworld, we'll see.

And I totally agree with you about the chickens and newt things.

I admit i was a little bit unsure when the new characters started to be revealed to us. I'm also kind of worried about Abe and munch not being part of it too. But, looking at the new characters, there's obviously been a heck of a lot of passion put into creating them. Even the ones that look crummy, ( like that blob thing) will probably be great once they're moving. Oddworld always manages to do things right and this game wont be an exception. Whatever happens, it's gonna be great.

Remember how sceptical everyone was when munch first appeared?

No, as far as I recall everybody loved Munch when it first appeared, and continued to do so until the move to Xbox.

I must admit, that I was one of them. The storyline was fantastic, the characters were exceptional, but the console, was, err.......

well i just hope they still have that dark atmosphere like they did in AO and AE it puts you into the mood of the story

RM: The characters that Oddworld has to animate with are fantastic. They are dark, edgy, and often have a great story to tell. They are so much fun to work with. The only time I don't like being here is when I can't seem to find the right thing for the character to do at that moment. It's frustrating not being able to convey an emotion that the director is looking for. Usually that happens when I haven't done enough research beforehand.

Hey Xavier, I think when he said that he was talking about animating the Abe movie, since they keep hinting at it. Sure, it's a long shot, but it seems to fit in all the right places...especially with that quote.

Well, its supposed to look different in the sense that Munch and Abe are not in it, and it will be different because the gameplay is something new to give the old style a break for a while.

Alf: Such a polite chap, that Oddguy is. Well, I suppose I could clear up a small bit of confusion, how would that be? One of the species is in fact STEEF! Yes, it is true. Steef is not a character name but the name of a species; similar to how Mudokon and Gabbit are also species. Isn't it amazing! ! ! !
